Behold The Jungle

The Noise Factory began their musical journey in the year of 1991 on Ibiza Records with a track called “Box Bass”. Which was inspired from an underground club Bass Box in Edmonton North London spearheaded by Chatta B on the Mic, which was located near the legendary “Roller Express” and visited by the Noise Factory on a regular basis. The Noise Factory consisted of 3 members James Stephens, Kevin Mulqueen and Terry Turner. They all came from different musical backgrounds, which bought a very unique and diverse sound together. James Stephen came from a reggae/dub background serving his apprenticeship through the legendary “Fat Man Sound System of Tottenham and being schooled by Jah Shaka sound at Feebee's, Dalston (East London) while Kevin Mulqueen came from a background of early synthesised music and had a deep knowledge of programming synthesiser’s and also attended the same secondary school as Terry Turner. Terry’s background came from a mixture of all styles especially Hip Hop as he was a scratch Dj and had also been involved in the early UK sound system culture having his own sound system “Soulois”, hailing from Tottenham (North London). The Noise Factory soon attracted vast followers to there sound after releasing a quick succession of underground hits on a newly established Ibiza Records which was leading the way in the underground rave hardcore scene and setting the standards of that time. By early 1992 The Noise Factory had gained vast experience working with Paul Chambers of Ibiza and felt the time was right to branch off into there own direction. That decision gave birth to 3rd Party Records located in Hackney (East London) which launched a serious of classic EP’s which changed the landscape of the Hardcore Underground scene forever and influenced a lot of modern Jungle /drum and bass which is made to present day. The collection of 3rd Party EP’s started with a black edition and had the lead track ”Be free “ licensed to XL Recordings and entered the UK national charts. Then came the most infamous release the blue edition entitled “The capsule EP” which broke boundaries with its 174 Bpm and the underground anthem “#Breakage 4” Then came the green edition with the club anthem “The Fire”, followed by the red edition “Alienation” with another huge club anthem “Mr Zulu”. Next came the yellow edition “Year of the ladies EP” and finally ended on the black and gold edition” Generation X”. 3rd party records would like to thank all that supported us from the beginning, the new support and those that still shows us love to this day as we take you on a continued musical journey to "The Future, The Future”.
