Nic Fanciulli returns to Hot Creations with ‘YSD, marking the release of his first EP on the illustrious label.

Having appeared as a remixer of Jamie Jones’ and Lee Foss’ famed ‘Benediction’ in 2014, the Grammy-nominated DJ/producer and label boss joins the Hot Creations family with original material for the first time, with his wealth of experience shining through across ‘YSD’. 

Honouring a classic, ‘YSD’ brings disco influences and pure house rhythms, diving into mammoth basslines and a thundering drum groove to present a masterclass in dancefloor euphoria. Italian pioneer Marco Lys remixes an international club hit by Cool Jack on DFTD, ‘Just Come’. Cool Jack, comprised of influential DJ and Black Moon Records owner Angelino Albanese, producer Gianni Visnadi and vocalist Tom Hooker, originally released ‘Just Come’ in 1992. The addictive track then received remixes from DJ Sneak, Ralphi Rosario, The Sharp Boys and is now updated for modern clubs by fellow Italian Marco Lys. Hannah Wants unveils Ghetto EP on DFTD, a return to her edgier, bass-heavy roots with two distinct tracks designed for the club. Hannah’s trajectory throughout 2023 was signposted by performances at flagship events including Defected Croatia, Defected’s Australasian Tour and The Warehouse Project. In 2024, her collaboration with Sam Divine and Jem Cooke, ‘Cruel Intentions’, kicked off the year before Hannah appeared on the ambitious livestream celebrating 25 years of Defected with 25 titan DJs playing B2B in 2024. After a string of releases showcasing her more emotive side on the London house label, Hannah Wants now returns to the bass house sound she helmed for over a decade, releasing Ghetto EP on sister label DFTD. The first of two deeper, headsier cuts, ‘Ghetto’ offers relentless club energy, with deep, percussive synths that hammer away underneath expressive audio sampling. ‘Let The Beat Talk’ follows, featuring frequent Plump Records collaborator Baby Luck on cool vocals, with its hard and tough sound shaking the floor as high frequency synths bubble overhead.
