Always true to his psychedelic roots, Papi Gonzo is back with his brand new concoction, a lengthy DJ set of delicious night-time tunes carefully picked up for their deepness & grooviness, but this time, at a much higher BPM. Real fanatic of faster beats himself, he feels that related mixes are often lacking emotions, atmospheres & energy contrasts, falling in the pitfall of redundancy. The Legend of Speedy Gonzoles DJ set

Another fun set in southern California with the Subterranean Dwellers crew. Held atop the Apple Valley highlands, this was a test of endurance in the elements. it was a pleasure to blast out of the Starseed Psytrance sound system once again and provide some tunes to warm those bodies up in the chilly weather. Had a small hiccup in there this time around but overall happy with what came out. its difficult to be perfect when you mix on the fly. Thank you to Subterranean Dwellers for another fantastic gathering. Enjoy!

My musical journey began in a punk band during my early high school days. Over time, my taste evolved through drum'n'bass, jungle, and all sorts of experimental music—until the summer of 2001 and my first psytrance festival. Immersed in this culture, it immediately felt like home—and still does.

Inspired by this experience, I started a project called Regeneration, dedicated to promoting trance culture. The first Regeneration party was held in 2001, followed by countless more to this day.

Having DJed for over 20 years, I’ve played at many festivals and parties across Croatia, including Modem Festival, UWOG, Future Nature, Ministarstvo Psihodelije, Oddvod, Tides of Youth, Free Mental, Forestation, and Divine Forest. I’ve also performed internationally in Slovenia, Hungary, Sweden, and Ireland, at events such as Forestdelic, Inner Sunrise, Psylent Groove, S.U.N. Festival, Electronic Culture, and United Tribes Festival.

I always tailor my sets to the context and vibe of the event. I don't confine myself to a specific style or subgenre of psytrance, because I love everything psychedelic. BPMs don’t matter. I don’t care which label, subgenre, or year a track is from—as long as it fits the story.

From Psychill, Dub, Psygressive—to Twilight, Forest, Dark, and Hitech...

Intelligent. Complex. Emotional. Diverse. Layered. Shamanic.
