The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings finds Amir Telem and Nordvolk collaborating on a three-track artist showcase. Hailing from Israel and Germany respectively Amir and Nordvolk have achieved measurable success since first working together in 2021. The duo's amalgamation of progressive and melodic house has found a home on Massive Harmony Records, Perspectives Digital and Pipe and Pochet, while the genre's trendsetters have chimed in with support. Now, continuing to build on their creative synergy, Amir and Nordvolk land on Movement Recordings with 'The Beginning', alongside a remix from Der Effekt and AVIOR.

The release commences with the title track 'The Beginning', which finds Amir and Nordvolk layering meandering melodic fragments and looping vocals over pulsating grooves and punchy kick drums. A smooth energy carries into the break where the duo bring a great emotional response, as cinematic pads, rolling drums and a striking vocal phrase unite in a gorgeous crescendo which ultimately cues a melodic finale. Meanwhile, selection two 'Abhaya' goes a bit deeper with an airy top-line and stunning effects creating a narrative that is equal parts groovy and trippy. Swirling arps and creamy tones add depth, space and emotion leading into the break, where dark swells and metallic modulation cue a groove-centric drop and cosmic conclusion. Selection three 'Sudarchakra Chakra' rounds out the originals with fluttery key changing arps and dark stabs running across a rippling groove and driving percussive arrangements. It carves an energetic path into the main break where emotion peaks and drama intensifies. Placid pads emerge for hopeful moments, eventually getting washed away in a trail of jet engine exhaust for a fiery finale.

Rounding out the release with the lone interpretation of 'Sudarchakra Chakra' is Der Effekt and AVIOR who return to the label following their 'Inception' EP from 2022. Hailing from Austria and Switzerland respectively, the trio continue to be a creative force in the world of melodic house and techno with a powerful remix here. Staying true to the vibe of the original but with a sharper edge, the trio's electric grooves and phasing sonics captivate across the first act. Unique and uplifting, the main break is sure to capture the dancefloor's full attention, as glassy motifs and rising modulation eventually give way for a finale of buzzing stabs and key changing grooves.

Movement Limited rounds out their 2023 schedule with a new EP from label boss Tash. The Greek artist has enjoyed another successful year, carefully balancing his broad production palette via releases for Awen Records, If You Wait and Uxoa Dutxa Elite, while also continuing to travel the world as a DJ and in turn delighting crowds with his fresh track selection and exquisite programming skills. Movement Limited has also been a home for Tash this past year, with the summer release of 'Division Enosis', a three-track electronica showcase produced alongside fellow countryman Logothetis. Now, following a contribution to Movement's popular 'ProgNoesis' series, Tash returns to the label's Limited division in solo capacity with 'The Medicine'. Tash continues to find a perfect balance between trendsetting sounds with the lead selection 'The Medicine'. A DJ friendly intro sets a lively mood with rolling grooves, shuffling rhythms and a clever coax of offset stabs. Building energy with each successive pass, its vibrant percussion and spirited vocal fragments add colour to what is a mature club-effective arrangement, perfectly leading to a series of emotive chord changes and a short but intense break which only furthers its dancefloor appeal. The companion piece 'A Journey Through Sounds' showcases Tash's studio repertoire further with a deeper and equally engaging journey. Clocking in at nearly eight minutes in length, the Movement boss's creative prowess shines once again, as he crafts a quirky club cut that is rich with rhythm, groove and atmosphere. Bright metallic motifs and roboticized vocals sit at the core of the track, flowing through an emotive second movement, before giving way to a cavernous break and groove-centric drop that's sure to leave a lasting memory on the dancefloor.
