As a prelude to the upcoming Soul:ution Room Two takeover on Friday 16th May, label boss Marcus Intalex and one of Manchester’s most reliable renegade emcees, DRS, have bumped consciousness and put together this, their ‘Mid Mic Crisis’ mix. Regular sparring partners in clubs the world over, DRS’ trademark measured Mancuian flow rides perfectly atop on Intalex’s soulful selection with his baritone delivery sitting sweetly and filling out the dynamic range of the rolling selections which reportedly feature, in some form, material from DRS’ forthcoming second album, Mid Mic Crisis.

Basically it’s a glorious and specifically tailored 62 minute mixtape showcase of DRS’ potency as a host, an emcee and a vocalist. But it comes mixed by Intalex which more than hints at the level of quality it contains... two of Manchester's finest in sterling form.

Ok in a crazy pre panorama bar gig panic i was thinking of ripping some old vinyl .. so i pulled a few out.. an hour later i had this mix .. its pretty shabbily put together as i was literally pulling them out of the shelves and wazzing them on the decks.. The music is ranging anything from 1988 to mid 2000's..
House music has  always been a passion of mine im just grateful i am now getting the opportunity to play it out a lil more often..

Trevino The nothing special 002 Promo Mix

As the due date creeps ever closer and the anticipation for the forthcoming debut album from DRS reaches fever pitch, the dnb scene MC numero uno has hooked up with Soul:R boss man, master DJ and proud golfing enthusiast Marcus Intalex to create a (seriously awesome) mix exclusively for Data Transmission. 

The album launch of DRS's I Don't Usually Like MCs But... LP will be celebrated in fitting style at the next A Bunch of Cuts, with Mr Intalex and DRS inviting album producer Dub Phizix and fellow collaborators Calibre, S.P.Y and dBridge down for the party, with further top line support from old hands Doc Scott and Klute.
