Glenn Eugen Ellingsen aka Fei Pao, the man behind Hot Wax Soundsystem is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ hailing from the coastal fjords of Scandinavia’s Norway. A journeyman, Fei Pao has been collecting and sharing rare grooves across the globe for over a decade. Fei Pao is recognised for his discerning taste and attention to detail, weaving a common thread and bringing like-minded music lovers together under a groove.

Fei Pao’s taste is often complimented by the mighty speakers of his Hot Wax Soundsystem. The finely-tuned, travelling audiophile set up is notorious on Melbourne’s clubbing landscape. Well loved by dancers for letting music breathe the way it was intended, the Loft inspired system illustrates the love and care Fei Pao has when playing music out. Hot Wax Soundsystem has quickly become a community favourite, bringing people together with a steady stream of loveable grooves.

He offered us a mixed bag for this summer inspired mix. A journey through old and new favorite grooves,  as we go into spring and warmer weather here in Melbourne.

We tried many ways to find it back but it took a very long time. Meanwhile Loud E gave me kindly this other mix which has only been given as a promo cd for a party at the Elli Disco club in Munich the 18th of december 2010.

This mix is a taste of its sound: rich, melodic, crazy disco and fusion stuff, colourful, dubbed out. We love it from the first listening, hope you too!
