PREMIERE - Brian Ring - Touching Distance (Boys' Shorts Remix)(Clutching at Straws)

Orchid (@orchidsmantissa) makes new indie and restores old Italo-Disco compositions, he has a very reverent attitude to music, because it motivates him, energizes him and gives him the opportunity to be its keeper. He loves music of joy, radiance and the energy of synthesizers.

The compositions of the "Automaticamore" EP on TAKT (@taktrec) were inspired by the Belgian New Beat era, when the producers began to mix their Phrygian modes and lingering parts with Italo Disco.

At the end, we added a remix of 'Slowmotion' by Vibe Impact (@alexeysuhanov) with a bolder sound and persistent acid parts.

Both vocal and instrumental versions drip with analogue warmth.
With crisp drum machines and soaring vocals from the legendary Fred Ventura throughout, ‘Mysterious Calls (In The Night)’ is a strong release laden with anguish for a missed joyride with Giordani along a moon lit Mediterranean coastline.
Slow Motion / Wrong Era head honcho Franz Scala changes the gear and ups the energy with a sizzling, pounding remix. A consistent driving bassline, pioneering percussion and intelligent synth lines reel you in from start to finish. Scala soundtracks the after-hours Marcello is driving to.

Mighty started his musical career in the early 1990s as member of the legendary Hamburg HipHop band Poets of Peeze from which German HipHop groups like Fettes Brot, Der Tobi & das Bo and Fünf Sterne deluxe were evolving. In the early 2000 years he teamed up with Mainz local Sven Cherouny to record their Mombasa EP in Tobitob's Sauna Lab in Hamburg.
2016 he joined Fettes Brot again during their "Gebäck in the days" concerts in Hamburg and since 2017 he helps his "teenage love" Italo Disco to boost into the 21st Century producing Synthwave tracks under the name "Machia & Velli". He finally sent Bungalo Disco a bunch of great tracks wherefrom four of them finally formed his debut EP „Discorsi“. It ́s co-produced by Tobitob.
Besides the four original tracks there are remixes by Moonbootica, Deomid and Italo Brutalo.

Franz Scala offers the first remix of 'Homme Fatal'. He is a long-time friend of Vamparela, with whom the used to organise parties together in Thessaloniki before moving to Berlin. Franz is now the label head of Slow Motion and New Era and is known for running the infamous Italorama parties in Panorama Bar. His diverse sets weave smoothly between Italian Dance, Psychedelic Disco and Proto House, quickly turning the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave. Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has releases on World Unknown, Bordello A Parigi, Bahnsteig 23, Tusk Wax, Mechatronica and Discodromo's Cocktail d'Amore Music and frequently inspires dancers in clubs and events all over Europe. While preserving the catchy, stuttering bassline and 80s break drums, Franz's remix softens the track for a more melodic rework with lush synths and gentle, reverb-heavy vocals.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Comme Un Coeur aka Dmitry Distant. One of his most luscious releases to date, he presents a romantic take on the classic ‘Eyes Without A Face’ ballad written by Billy Idol and Steve Stevens back in 1983. Languorous vocals by Valeria Simonova, Dmitry’s longtime collaborator, are set off against a backdrop of lush, sparkling synth parts, to create a hazy, dreamy sonic atmosphere. The title track is juxtaposed to the expertly made remix by Franz Scala, a well-known DJ and owner of Slow Motion Records label – this hypnotic throbbing banger with Italo and EBM influences is surely meant to rock the dancefloor.
