Add to that, collaborations with Flora Purim, Nightmares on Wax, and live percussion sets at Leeds' legendary Back To Basics, and you get a career defined by innovation. Now, through NuNorthern Soul, Ward introduces Balaphonic—a project born from lockdown experiments, online collaborations, and a deep-rooted passion for Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian rhythms. His new offering ‘Resolution Revolutions’ is a richly textured and immersive album that redefines his sound.

During the pandemic, Ward locked himself in his studio, blending acoustic and electronic instruments while exploring diverse rhythms and grooves. He revisited past compositions with fresh ears and crafted new material from the ground up, resulting in a breathtaking collection of tracks.
