Lucy Cliché - Heady Duet

Out on Rotterdam's Electronic Emergencies, this dark experimental and downright nasty series of tracks are well worthy of your time but this remixed version of Vägskäl is so visceral and urgent that it should have a flashing light and siren on it's bonnet so that it can get to where it needs to and that everyone knows to get out of it's way. The fact that Grymt translates to both 'grim' and 'cool' give you some indication of where this track is on the PH Scale.

Romantic Fiction - the debut LP from Curses - is an honest musical expression drawing inﬂuences from his youth growing up in NYC in the 80s. References to new wave, post-punk, synth music and early EBM are skillfully merged with the DIY approach of punk and rock n roll angst. Brandishing an immersive sonic palette, all instruments throughout the album were played and recorded by the artist.
Exhausted by the current state of competitive dance music monotony, Romantic Fiction is a collection of songs, not DJ tools: songs that work at home, but also in the club should the right crowd beckon.
It’s about escapism and ﬁnding comfort in the unknown, fulﬁlling the empty void by embracing the mysterious. Darkness is a light undiscovered, not something to be frightened of.
Curses also invites friends who share a mutual love for incorporating post punk and new wave into contemporary electronic music. Perel delivers mighty Nina Hagen-esque operatic punk vocals on the ﬁrst single, 'Gold & Silber', whilst Dischi Autunno label boss Jennifer Cardini and Curses share a duet on the cold wave silk of 'Silence In The Dark'.
As an amalgamation of inﬂuences from multiple decades, Romantic Fiction is a deeply personal album, triggering a feeling that is unnerving at times, familiar and welcoming at others.

Uncanny Valley have been prolific this year and once again are on hand to deliver yet another killer which is more industrial than a cybernetic organism travelling back in time to invade your dancefloor and give you a hammer to dance to. This is music.

PREMIERE | ½ GOTT - Die Nacht [Uncanny Valley] 2018

Gunce Aci is a DJ and Producer hailing from Istanbul. She is also a part of the SaveAS Music Management team and music/booking director of Achprojektevent series.

Since 2014 she has been frequently spinning at many of the top clubs and venues in Istanbul such as Studio, Suma Beach, Gizli Bahce, Kloster, MAMA and more.

She is inspired by Indie Dance, Nu Disco, New wave, Letfield and Idm.
The soundscape she had created through her ‘Dreamers vs Believers’ EP on Esthetique is shaped by dark-mysterious pads, sturdy basslines and captivating melodies.

As usual the label brings in some high quality remixes in the shape of Up Pa Gaz, long time Sinchi friend Leonor and Tulioxi. The latter delivering a fantastic rework of the title track.

@WonderStories 34 comes courtesy of Alex Aquayo (@AlexTork), a young producer from a small town in Mexico who’s currently living in Vancouver. Alex has an uncanny knack for melody, which is evident in his three original tracks on the EP. Stylistically, he hints towards notes of Italo, New Wave, Techno, and House.

On remix duty is @Craig-Bratley, an Englishman you’re probably already familiar with, who hypes up the lead track Geometry into an Italo stomper.

Heavier, more focused and more pensive than previous collections, for this ‘Muy Duro’ edition the pace and tone is set by a stone cold don Dino Lenny. An Italian legend across all techno disciplines, for ‘What A Sound’ he strips things back to their bare rumbling essentials with a twist of classic new romance intrigue.

He’s in good company… Austrian / Turkish duo Hanzo & Yaman follow up with the brain-tickling technoid ricochets of ‘Boonmee’ before Cabizbajo brings the murky melting pot back home to Mexico for a warped slab of rough-and-ready bass-licked tech.

The third release from the growing label @logiarecords brings a very powerful sound.

We’re talking about “Hiperestesia”, @DiazTech’s new EP, with MAN 2.0, Tivi, Renuna y Playa del Karma remixes.

The three originals are loaded with hard techno sounds and almost dramatic melodies. From the U.K. comes MAN 2.0 and his version of “Vorkzak”, giving us his Acid dosis. “Hiperestesia” has two remixes, one by Playa del Karma, dj/producer from Argentina, with his progressive melodies, and the other by Tivi, founder of the mexican label VENENO, little darker and heavier.

The EP is completed by the Argentinian duet Renuna, with a very techno and groovy remix of “Vortex Filament Simulation”.
