Karl Kave makes his appearance on Lux Rec for their first release in 7” format. Four terse tracks influenced by his past experiences, high and low as they come, life events and tumultuous thoughts. The result is something of a sombre nostalgia for all that is not there anymore. Coming from Rheintal, a valley on the eastern part of Switzerland, he uses English, German and his native Swiss dialect to sing. Dive into it, meet sadness.

Galina Ozeran more known as Chikiss is a singer and pianist, composer and electronic musician of Belarusian origin. Having recorded her first album in 2005, she has produced a large musical output from post-punk and psychedelic rock to minimalistic synthesizer pop and spectral electronic music. As a solo artist and in various collaborations she has created her personal and idiosyncratic style.

As a child of soviet era sci-fi, Galina tinted by the faded glory of suggested futures that never came to be. Her performance draws on nostalgic futurism, both brand new and nodding to obscure numbers by long forgotten, and little known internationally soviet acts. Armed with encyclopediac knowledge of early synth recordings, depicting mischievous romantic mechanical dreams brought into life by analogue machines.

Italian DJ and producer Gianluca Pandullo a.k.a. I-Robots has chosen six of his favourite Electronic Emergencies tracks to reconstruct. The second part of a collaboration after a digital-only compilation of EE tracks by the founder of Opilec Music in 2020, the six rigorous reconstructions on this double 12-inch are long, luscious, and full of energy. Move Like Rays by Machinegewehr was injected with a high-energy vibe, while Das Ding's Want Need was transformed into an electro classic. Skeleton Head's queer anthem Beaten, Bloody, Bruised was given the percussion treatment, Danza Obscura by Borgie got an Italo Wave twist, and New Wave legends Chris Davis and M/A/N/O/S had their tracks worked over by dubby electro and minimal techno. Electronic Emergencies reconstructed by I-Robots consolidates the label's frontier electronic underground reputation.

Coming in strong after celebrating its first year of existence, the Bella Ursa mothership resumes its journey through the many cosmic layers of its Nebula Aranea series. Curated with great care by label-head Letherique, this second opus digs deeper into the darker path previously set. For this release, a selection of instrumental tracks has been chosen, ranging from tracks and experiments created years ago to some created more recently. The common thread between them is smoothness, erotic rhythms, the comfort of synthesizers, and live instruments. These tracks selected highlight the deepest, most hypnotic, and mystical dance rituals that Ranga offers us.

The album's title, Past Life, refers to the feelings and ideas that were circulating when the tracks were created, but also to how it feels to look back at old music and the old selves who created it. There is an unsettling but tempting feeling about the future for the artist. The tracks selected for this release are those that he always listened to without really knowing where they came from or where they were going, as he is still surprised to this day that he created them. They do not resemble Ranga's previous music, but rather, for him, they are music of the future.
