Don’t let the title “Next Big Thing” fool you: the follow-up to Berlin-born artist and DJ Exildiscount’s 2019 debut “Gift” on Reveller Records makes no claim to deliver the hottest shit right now. Instead, their EP serves as a comment on fragile masculinity packaged in infinitely danceable beats.

Ranging in tempo from 100 to 130 BPM, the EP offers a stylistically diverse approach united by tongue-in-cheek subversiveness. The opening track “IdNTT” is a Dark Disco/New Beat anthem built around a “mantra of denial” voice loop. In “Going to Bed Hungry,” house beats and an EBM-inspired bass line suggest danceability, while a sampled monologue cries out against ideological brainwashing. The third and last track of the EP culminates in euphoria born out of driving beats and organ melodies, ranging from harmony to madness. It is nothing less than a battle call: "Down with the Dickness!”

The rise of the "balearica movement" in the last years has been well supported by dj's and producers from Switzerland, being Zurich one of the most influent cities of the scene, contributing artists like Lexx or Kejeblos and labels like "Phantom Island" that lately have been inside the radar more than ever.

Besides of his brilliant work as "mixer" for different labels, Florin Büchel has been building a great reputation under his both monikers. "CCO", where the Swiss' producer explores darker sounds like acid or elektro; and under his own name where he dares with more sunny and hedonist productions.

Florin Büchel lands in MM Discos with "Serendipity EP" a work that follows the style of his productions signed on "Phamtom Island". Always loyal to his love for analogue machines, Zurich' based producer delivers a heavenly landscape, built beat after beat with a charming laid back style, cheerful melodies and playful percussions.

Romain FX takes over the control on "Serendipity" and brings the track to his own territory, delivering an effective "80's-italo-styled" version of the original made by Florin Büchel.

Closing the EP, MM Discos' in-house producers Bonnie & Klein, take back the mediterranean vibe and the sunglasses to remind us that the summer hasn't finished yet.

The EP kicks of with experimental HEYOKA. Enjoy mouthwatering melodies that slowly speed up until mixing with playful synths, dreamy pads and mesmerizing vocal chants. A lovely intro for what is to come.
Track number two BAYUNCO touches you right away from head to toe. You begin to oscillate your bellies in circles and glide through the gloomy room where tasty percussions and spaced out synths await you.
The third station of the duo’s magic journey is LA TUMBA. This crazy rave anthem foats through the room on clouds of extasy and the voices from the tomb mobilize the musical animal in us.
The fnal original carries the lustful name SOMBRIA LUJURIA. It perfectly rounds up the EP of this enchanting collaboration. Enjoy the catchy percussive hits mixed with shamanic jungle sounds and a captivating bassline.
DEKADENZ co-mastermind ADITYA PERMANA delivers a diabolic remix of SOMBRIA LUJURIA. The man from Jakarta gave his dark touch and prepared a strong belly wobbler that catches ones attention with shabby synths, harsh aural bites and demon like vocals.
The second remake comes from BELLY DANCE SERVICES co-head NICK HANZO, who saddled up a remix for LA TUMBA. With it’s groovy attitude, hypnotizing melodies and addictive vocals, this track is perfect for a thorough body work out.

1984 : In the studio of the small Italian town of Cremona, some of the famous but early representatives of a not-yet-named- music style called Italo Disco get together to record a song.

Among them are the most active and influential singers, producers and arrangers of this musical movement from Cesare Pasquali to Jimmy Mc Foy including Ottavio Bacciocchi.

Most importantly, two friends, Larry Pignagnoli and the famous Ivana Spagna, were writing a song together. It has been unnoticed so far, but always had the power and stamina to make the dead dance. Pardonnez-nous, but here it is!

The White Isle`s Residentes Balearicos come bouncing back with a debut EP, Viajes Orgaizado, for Brighton`s Higher Love Recordings. The super prolific Italian duo of Luca Averna and Ale Doretto, who’ve now made Ibiza their home, have perviously released music, across a range of tempos - from serene sunset shuffles to nocturnal, psychedelic, shamanic shakedowns. Gracing labels such as Shades Of Sound, Music For Dreams, Balearic Ensemble, and Takeo Toyama`s Archipelago (RIP). Noteworthy names such as Joe Morris and Robin Lee`s Rudy’s Midnight Machine have remixed the results, while they frequently collaborate with current king of “chillout”, Melodica`s Chris Coco. This fresh four-track outing finds the friends fashioning two new tunes, each given an additional guest “twist”.

D110 starts with a solid rock drum battery, quickly joined by characteristically bionic “balearicos” bass. Ripe with rave-y synth signals, and filled with flickering frequencies, the track taps directly into their Italo disco roots. Its sleazy, suggestive, stomping novo new beat, countered by breakdowns of cute cascading bells and chimes - raining prettily above the punchy, pumping, pounding. Mancunian musician James Bright, himself a Higher Love veteran - as well as working with imprints such as Sveva, Quattro, and Eclectics - smooths out the still banging, gargantuan groove. Manufacturing melody from masked marimba and energetic, particulate, ping-ponging patterns, while making excellent use of echo to build, and release, tension.

Juno’s Dream is technologically tribal. Its robotic rhythm rising and falling hypnotically, while grounded by more “organic” finger clicks. The warm, womb-like, constantly mutating, bottom-end, an homage to both acid house and bleep. Bali-based Liverpudlian Joey Fiztgerald, aka Gold Suite adds trippy gated sequences, and bonus human hand percussion, in the shape of bongos and congas. Then tops this off with huge rushing waves, swirls, of stirring, emotive, synthetic strings.

The reference number 73 and our first reference of this year 2022 comes signed by the great Myrddin, from France this fantastic composer delights us with an ep full of eighties and cosmic sounds, with his unique touch, and is that Myrddin since he appeared with his project and label Meloppe Records, is giving much to talk about in the international circuit.

He always gives us an energetic sound for the dancefloor but full of emotions to enjoy, a fine and defined composition characterizes a lot the sound of our french partner, we love it and we can say that this ep will not go unnoticed to your ears.

The ep consists of four tracks, one original accompanied by remixes made in Golden Soul.

Macho Cutie as a special touch, and this nordic team beautifies everything they touch, generating a break version of this wonderful theme, but with its cosmic nuances, very friends of the arpeggios to the Giorgio and stellar pad defining a space sound.

The other two tracks go straight to the dancefloor, James Rod and Aleito are in charge of accompanying this great track with the sound of the house, both taking it to their terrain, fast cuts, brilliant arpeggios and an ideal touch for the dancefloor, quality electronica to cover this great track.
