Ineffekt, French II - Silver Lining

Next up on Co-Accused Records - No Static / Automatic label boss ARA-U is piloting the craft with his NO FUTURE EP. The Venezuelan Electro producer provides four analogue cuts accompanied by a Radioactive Man remix.

It's a cosmic liftoff with the mind warping sonic sounds of 'Planet Destroy'. Radioactive Man's funk fueled remix has an infectious 303 bassline that takes the listener on a jackin 'journey. On the flip side 'Exit Now' moves into driving hypnotic synths with sizzling percussion throughout. 'No Future' dips the dancefloor into a twisting wormhole of intergalactic grooves. The EP closes with the dark dystopian synths and extraterrestrial layers of 'It’s Only Lies Around Me'.

Vinyl and digital released in August.

As the title name suggests, the EP is seen as an exploration through different universes. Influences can be heard from equal parts of early millennia console games to the sounds of underground heroes. Traversing through break-beat and jungle, moving in BPMs unlike before, the duo will guide you through a dimension you did not expect.

SPD is a north London based DJ and producer. Operating largely at 130 bpm, he brings the sonics of deep & dark side dubstep and that FWD/2008-11 post dubstep sound to garage, UK funky and techno.
SPD has been Djing for around 12 years and has played shows in London, Birmingham and Liverpool - most recently headlining Allow the Groove in Peckham, supporting Horsepower productions at Nancy June's Planet Wax takeover and for Pollination/Voices Radio at the Glove that Fits for the Open Culture: No borders campaign.
As well as a monthly residency on Subtle radio, SPD regularly does guest mixes for other stations and podcasts. A highlight was putting together an all production mix for Hotflush earlier this year, a full circle moment given the influence the label has had on his sound.
Four track release of sound system ready 130 club weapons, teetering between the realms of broken techno, garage, funky, and dubstep; showcasing a mastery of low-end, complex but functional rhythmic percussion and interesting melodic tones and textures. Release date 21st October 2023.
Youth: Acid style square lazer bass zaps combine in fine style with a broken beat style drums, providing a polished dance floor weapon that’s both sinister and fun.

Marking the second EP of the year for London based label Vief, Once You Pop is a bass driven two-tracker by Product Toss.

With the two tracks set at 125 and 145 BPM respectively, this short but sweet release packs one hell of a punch. Equal parts eerie and menacing, the listener is treated to two gigaton basslines and a multitude of sharp, crisp percussion throughout.

All process from this release will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.

Control Freak co-founder Customer Service returns to the label with his second EP, Amygdala. As both a DJ and producer, Hong Kong-born, London-based Customer Service thrives in a genre-defying nether zone - rooted in familiar dancefloor grooves, but with a distinctive, off kilter sense of rhythm and melody that instantly mark his productions out.

With previous music supported from the likes of Ben UFO, upsammy & Oceanic, Tom Ravenscroft, Solid Blake, dBridge, re:ni and more, this record follows the thread of previous Customer Service releases, exploring deep, trippy and murky textures rooted in techno & electro soundscapes. Rounding off the record, @pugilistmusic remixes Lean Forward, adding a murky, broken groove to the detailed fabric of the original, and Customer Service collaborates with CF cofounder @finnaman on a similarly richly-textured closing track, Useless Knowledge.
