Ransom Note Records are over the moon to welcome illustrious French Electronic duo Froid Dub to the fold for the debut 12” vinyl release with us, Tears Maker Chant. Head honchos of the wonderful Delodio label, Stéphane and François, mark the 50th release for R$N Recs, and this is without a shadow of a doubt an incredibly special one for us. So, sit back and ready yourself for some inimitable Froid Dub cuts; laid back but pounding, graceful yet aggressive but above all, thoroughly danceable.

First single On The Nose enters next, with a delightfully soft, round bass that feels like bouncing around a padded room. Inside a Zorb. On MDMA. More echoed, analogue motifs dart from left to right, confirming with strong conviction that our chaps from Paris put the Dub in Indubitably Fantastic.

After Yuu Udagawa’s highly acclaimed EPs “Ride It” & “Peaceful Dawn” from last year, she’s back again in full effect presenting four classy, sophisticated and timeless jazz-electronica-house hybrid tracks for Compost.

The title track Golden Glow is a electric samba-infused broken beat gem, with joyful vocal melodies and a superfunky bassline creating a truly elevated vibe.

Reverie comes in smooth slow-motion house guise. Yuu's ethereal vocal interludes unfold in interplay with playful piano improvisations, underpinned by an irresistible groove.

The track “One More” seems to come straight out of a smoky jazz club. Jazzy piano sounds meet plucked double bass, underlaid with dreamy synth pads and Yuu's whispers from the twilight zone.

On Velvet City, Yuu unleashes her soulful vocal talent and her flair for wonderfully ambitiously produced deep house. A great, uplifting jam that appeals to both the heart and the dancing leg.

When Dick Turpin, the infamous highwayman was excecuted, he was hung by a crossroads so his soul wouldn't be able to find its way to haunt the people who ordered his execution. When Robert Johnson allegedly made a pact with the devil to make himself the best blues musician ever, he did it at a crossroads in Mississippi.

Mange Moi have been steadily releasing for the last year and have employed Russian production team Wolfstream to deliver Crossroads.  Id!r has kindly given stem duties to Correspondant mainstay Javi Redondo, having delivered a killer Boiler Room set, who serves up a beefy kicker of a track which growls at you as you pass it's door.
Live guitars meld seamlessly with weird effects, a healthy slab of filter, wonky synths and Javi's trademark monster bass sounds to create a cheeky if slightly dirty track which swaggers around the 118bpm mark like John Wayne in a Sci Fi flick. If ever you find yourself at the crossroads, you know which way you need to go, you need to head towards the dancefloor and make that deal with the devil at that crossroads, it's worth it.

Themes For Divided Tribes Vol. 2 is the second EP of edits and reworks from @DEKADENZrecords. DEKADENZ is a record label and club night in Jakarta, run by Jonathan Kusuma, Aditya Permana, Ridwan Susanto & Benedict Pardede. The club night has had featured guests such as Dreems, Thomas Von Party, Manfredas, Switchdance, Simple Symmetry and Timothy Clerkin creating a new home for underground techno, leftfield house, new electronic pop and tribal-krautrock. 

This EP opens with Bangkok based @SunjuHargun who has released on leading imprints such as Turbo Recordings amongst others.  Here he has crafted a mutant slow burner that drives you into the abyss. An abyss filled with molecular structures playing the role of a melody trying to escape the world of divided tribes. Sunju Hargun once again fuses the grey area space between the music of the body and mind.
