D'une culture et d'une curiosité à toute épreuve, Sacha Mambo explore et fait découvrir des contrées musicales qu'on penserait parfois incompatibles. Macadam Mambo, merveilleux label, est ainsi un jardin d'hiver fait de choses rares et vivantes, de trouvailles et de surprises. Impossible de dire de quoi sera fait le prochain disque, et pour tout vous dire on a rarement été déçus. Résident du Sucre à Lyon, il compose ses sets avec autant de patience et de précision qu'il échafaude le catalogue de Macadam Mambo. C'est un ami véritable, qui sait, comme peu d'autres, enchanter et surprendre.

I met with Phran at Vimana studio to record a People You May Know mix (the project we share together). He had a stomachache so he laid for a while on the couch and told me to start with it. At the end he couldn't stand up so I ended up recording this breaks mix by my own while he was agonizing on the couch. The transitions are not perfect, but I really like the energy!

They curate and are a resident of the Mesh Party in Pittsburgh, that showcases marginalized and queer artists regionally and beyond. They were added as a Kosmetik resident after their move to San Francisco. Minimal, dub, acid and polyrhythms inform their sound which is bound by bass, streaked with lush textures, percussion and psychedelic influences. Be prepared for a journey!
