Haru no Umi (春の海, "The Sea in Spring") is a Shin Nihon Ongaku ('New Japanese Music') piece for koto and shakuhachi composed in 1929 by Michio Miyagi. The piece is well-known in Japan as it is commonly played as background music during the New Year season. May the new year bring you peace, joy, and happiness!

I found a nostalgic and memorable recording. I can't remember a piano that was so difficult to play,(I wanted to know how old this piano is!) but the sound of an old piano is trurly charming. I was playing it the whole time, worried that I might break it. Anyway, cheers to my friend's wonderful clarinet playing!

The Scent Of Memories (200?-2024) 

I found a score I wrote about 15 years ago. To my surprise, even the staves were handwritten. I had completely forgotten about this piece. Somehow, I felt as if the soundscape gave me a glimpse of my admiration for Debussy's "Arabesque." Since the score was unfinished, I improvised an ending reminiscent of Debussy’s scent. I hope you enjoy it.

Recently, I saw a photo of the night view of Hong Kong that my husband sent me while he was on a business trip.
