This song was produced whilst taking part in Taetro's Beatmakers Bootcamp in Melodics, during January 2024.

Taetro's tutorials on his YouTube channel have been the best I've seen to date. A fantastic teaching style, with an ideal balance of knowledge and humility. His guidance is helping me unlock a whole new world of music production.

My original intention for this production was to make a hard hitting, Industrial influenced banger.

Instead, the result that appeared was a tune that sounds a bit like a Carribean fairy tale. This is the track that was always meant to happen, because it happened.

Here's to happy accidents and the whispers of the muse.

Innocence

First track ever finished.  Thanks to Taetro and the Melodics Beatmaker Bootcamp for a wealth of info and great instruction! And for getting me out of my comfort zone.

In For The Night

The third streaming release in February 2024! This track also pays homage to the highly unruly Octave Cat; my first ever synth in the 1980s ... Like s-c-r-at-cH, the rhythm track for s-cat-cH is also derived from the 'unintentional' noises inherent in playing vinyl records. If you missed the links on social, a 'scatch' is either an obsolete word for 'stilt' and also a name for the bit in a horse's bridle. That might also make the promos a little clearer! Enjoy!

This came from a journey in a beat making class from producer TAETRO and Melodics practice app. Taetro's approach to explaining to creation music from the ground up using Melodics as a practice place, with such a lovely group of people with in Discord Bootcamp discussion space has been inspirational and wonderful experience. 

One of the best things TAETRO has said during one of his lesson "this is not going to be the best piece of music you'll ever make, but it will be the best piece of music you make today."
