Hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece, Alpha Sect is a project of George McCall, which is focused on breaking electro patterns and pumping body music with serious punk influences. He started his music career as a guitarist in the post-metal band Sleepstream with 2 albums on their track record and he is an active musician with participations in physical theatre performances with his side-project. Our first guest on Heptaseas is NZM99, an artist emerging from the depths of the rave scene, his sound sorcery is driven by dark and acid techno, underlaid with heavy, powerful bass. His electrifying and skillful performances leave crowds spellbound. As the founder of Tjalk Records, a heartfelt tribute to the boat he resides on in Lyon, NZM 99's numerous releases on esteemed labels like Persephonic Sirens, Khoinix, and Flesh Or Die have brought him to international stages, with recent shows in Poland, Germany, and Georgia.
Inspired by legends such as Arnaud Rebotini, The Hacker, Terence Fixmer, and David Carretta, NZM 99's passion for vintage synthesizers has been the driving force behind his artistic journey. Ever since he acquired his first analog machine as a teenager, he has continuously expanded his setup, delivering powerful live performances and mesmerizing DJ sets that blend techno with EBM tones, bewitching dancefloors.

HEPTASEAS 001 - NZM 99

Julie Lojkine took up mixing at a point in life when most DJs have already left the scene. The name Mother came naturally: whispered in the clubs where she often played, until it simply became part of her. What was once a nickname became her identity. Mother began mixing industrial techno three years ago in the heart of Parisian LGBT nightlife, shaping her sound within the hard industrial Monasterio movement.

In recent months, she has drastically lowered her BPM to align with her first productions, soon to be released on @revokrecords: 4 tracks delivering an anguishing urge to dance, as if to exorcise the madness of a world falling apart. Her sets attempt to reconcile her new and earlier influences, merging the hard kicks of Eastern Europe with the organic percussions and trippy atmospheres of the original scene.

Mother is also the founder and resident of the FLINTA collective @techno_fatale. Julie Lojkine has recently played for Parisian well-known industrial events (Ghost Night, Monarch, T4P) in emblematic places such as the Monarch, Glazart or KM25.

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Berlin based dj, live performer & producer STATIQBLOOM (Sonic Groove // HANDS Records).

STATIQBLOOM has been creating a unique fusion of rhythm and noise with haunting dynamics since 2014 combining elements of techno with the experimentation of industrial music.
Statiqbloom is the brainchild of Fade Kainer. 
A project that began in Brooklyn NYC later becoming a duo with Denman C. Anderson (2016-2020). 
Fade was a member of the industrial doom band Batillus, noise synth dread project Theologian, and he has also worked with Jarboe (ex-Swans). 
Currently based in Berlin, his use of combining hardware and software to create noisy modular engineered industrial techno. 
Building live sets by meshing heavy hard industrialised rhythms with unfolding blackened atmospheres and disorienting vocals.
Statiqbloom has released on these Labels: Sonic Groove, Metropolis Records, Synthicide, Desire.
And has remixed and done production for many other artists.

I've been hooked ever since I discovered The Dark Shadow EP back in the 90's. For anyone that doesn't know: The music released on Sensory Violation is hardcore.... But much darker!

French producer, DJ and live act Substencia fuses cinematic lullabies and noise collages with destructive drum patterns to shape her dark, intricate sound. Since 2017, she has been releasing EPs, remixes, and compilations on labels like Kallkällan, Tjalk, Mutant Modality, Glanz Und Elend or Venaeform, earning support from international artists. Performing across Europe, she had the opportunity to play DJ sets and live acts in Germany, Belgium and Spain. Since 2021, she has been part of the post-industrial noise duo Kabocha. Recently she launched Rust, a webzine dedicated exclusively to alternative electronic music, with interviews, music reviews, and more.
