It's been a few months since I dusted off the decks. 
My dj friend and station mate @djemmachampion kindly asked me to pull my proverbial finger out, blow off the dust, remove the lids and spin some tunes to cover her excellent Saturday session via @d3epradio.
It's always great to be asked to do cover shows and stretch the legs (musically)
This mix (part one of two) is a straight up re-record of the show that went out live. Unfortunately it didn't record. Told you I was rusty!

4c cover session / Emma Champion

Hello again.
I'm back with part two of my cover sessions for the excellent @Djemmachampion on the @d3epradio
If you've checked out the first part you'll know I did a re-record as it didn't save.  I have, on this mix re-recorded too, not because it needed one, I like the rawness that live mixing brings. The happy accidents, the slightly off the wall choices, no it was because I forgot to hit record!
It's not a perfectly faithful re-run of the live show, I've added some tracks, removed others but as always with a 4c mix it's a strictly one take thing. The music choices on this cover show are in that weird non era, not old enough to be classic, not new enough to be fresh. They are certainly excellent tunes though as I'm sure you'll agree.

Hello all
Great to be able to say that I'm back with a new for 2023 OFITC. I missed the last few months of 22 due to unforeseen reasons so it's brilliant to able to share the One foot shows again. While not to everyone's tastes I hope that you will find something to connect with in these two hours and you'll let me take you on a mini trip into the vibey world of my record racks virtual and physical.

OFITC 76 kicks off with some lovely ambient and moves into deep electro and deep techno before flipping into some deep house and back again. Hello all, me again. 

Great to be back for February's One foot instalment. Bringing you another slice of deepness from my record racks. A little bit of overtime on this one too. Great for the pods! 

I really enjoy bringing you these monthly trips and to be honest with you I struggled to find inspiration over the course of last year. When I did do them it was very much on an introspective melancholic tip. Which were frankly really only about a cathartic exercise for me which is a bit selfish of course. I've opened up the vibe of these mixes in 2023 to be more positive. I hope you feel the change in vibe on this one too. 

If you listen to my shows to have them either for focus during your day, or like me, to process thoughts and feelings then I'm glad that we have been able to connect in some way. 
The universe really is wonderful isn't it and making these connections, however small is and always will be precious. 

I hope you and I shall never loose that fascination for new things. Especially music. So in this mix I bring you some old, new, and new additions to my collection. I went digging deep into the digital archives for this mix.

Hello

I quite regularly do mixtape's for myself. Working on ideas, letting blends float, and mixing tracks that would perhaps not traditionally go together. These active musical canvasses help to formulate the show. 

Sometimes however the flow is just there without trying and the results are unexpectedly lush. Here's something of the later.  
Originally intended to help formulate ideas for OFITC this turned into a thing all by itself.

Yes yes.
How is everyone? Here we are again. We must stop meeting like this, people will talk ;) Regardless, I'm very glad you're here to enjoy another two hour mix up of tunes. 

This month OFITC hits 81. Some say this is just a number, a jump to get to the next stage, to others it means much more. In numerology, 81 is a number of humanitarianism, self-sufficiency, and is also the number of tolerance. The universe works in the most magical of ways doesn't it. 

I've been doing some serious life assessments of late and to be honest I've come to some startling conclusions. I must say it's been absolutely dreadful at times but you only grow when things get tough. The revelations have been in fact, quite liberating. 

So liberating in fact that (major life moments aside),  I wanted to bring some of that humanity, and tolerance to this show. It ended up with a really nice dig into that more upbeat sunshine vibe. I am sure your ears will love it. I still get deep later on into the set but I'm really happy with the track choices. 
As ever, it's strictly live vibes recorded from the D3ep radio outings. 
 
Put this on in your headphones, stride out with your head up high and boss that moment. Thank you for blessing me with support, comments and shares.

Pleased to bring you One Foot 85. My first show back since July. Huge thanks to @djemmachampion for covering August's edition. 
This show kicks off with a nice deep trip by Chari Chari and we progress through the genre's until I settle on the usual deep melodic 4/4 vibe. 
Apologies, but due to some technical issues the show comes in at 1hr 55 as apposed to the usual 2hr mark. 
That doesn't mean however that you're getting short changed. Music is still very much on point. Enjoy and dive in.

Into month two of 2024. This year is flying by. Seems like yesterday we were celebrating Christmas and New year. 
Anyway on with the write up. I did some digging in the racks for this one. Pulled some classic broken beat from the likes of Jazzanova et al, some tasty beat work outs from LTJ Bukem and sprinkled some newer house and techno into the mix. 
Considering I was/am fighting a chest infection I think it turned out pretty well.
Some tricky transitions in this mix too, so tuck in and enjoy the sounds of One foot #90

Many moons ago I used to do a Sunday breakfast session. We travelled from beats, funk, soul, breaks, broken, house, and techno. They were fun. I'm starting them up again. Here is the first one of this year. Enjoy three hours of deep, but most definitely groovy tunes.

The tree in my front garden is moving into blossom so spring is on the way, so put a spring in your step and spring to this mix.

I promised myself I'd be more active with my mixes this year. More willing to share my collection. So I put together this mix of jazz, soul, jazz funk, Latin and other vibes to accompany me and possibly you on your walk. 
I do love a good walk, it gives me time to process, re-connect and generally be at peace. Normally I go out with a playlist, but I felt the need to put these in a mix. So here is the result. A very relaxed collection of music, just perfect for you to stroll too. Take your time and meander down the gravel path until we get to our destination.

Sorry this has taken me so long to get the track list up.
Last months show went out on D3ep Radio Network a few weeks back. It was the last session to be aired on D3ep and I'd like to thank @grantnelsonmusic, and @jamestothalee for the opportunity to play on such a warm, welcoming, supportive station. I've had a blast but it's time for the next phase of the journey and you'll always have a special place on my racks.

This show was super fun to do as always. A nice journey into some more funkier elements from the deep rumble of @derekrusso_ and @djfulbert all the way to Scruscru. This also brings a close to the last tune first tune series. A mini series in a series. If you spotted well done. I hope it brought you some joy.
