Released in 1996, 'One in a Million' proved to be a huge hit for the vocalist along with the project's chief collaborators, Timbaland and Missy Elliott - marking the beginning of their musical union which would garner several notable collaborations over the years.  'One in a Million' has sold over three million copies in the US and eight million copies worldwide.

The album produced six singles, 'If Your Girl Only Knew', 'One in a Million', 'Got to Give It Up', '4 Page Letter', 'Hot Like Fire', and 'The One I Gave My Heart To', with the last becoming the album's highest-charting single, peaking at nine on the US Billboard Hot 100.

90s State of Mind #7: "One in a Million" (w/Rhonda)

Welcome to episode #8 of the 90s State of Mind podcast - a collaborative project between 4ever in Electric Dreams and Blue-in-Green:RADIO. This podcast series sees Imran (London, UK) and Rhonda (California, USA) delve into some of their favourite releases from the 90s and this week, the pair revisit the debut album from Kelis, 'Kaleidoscope'.

Released in 1999, 'Kaleidoscope' was produced by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes making the album a breakout project for all three.  Despite underperforming in the US, the album was a moderate success overseas receiving a gold certification in the UK.  Spawning three singles including 'Caught Out There', 'Good Stuff' and 'Get Along With You', the album also held the distinction of ranking #391 in Rolling Stone's 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The one and only studio album album from Hill was spearheaded by three singles and ten Grammy nominations winning five of those.  The album has gone on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide making it one of the biggest selling records of all time and a definitive 90s album.

Cherished sitcom characters like Alan Partridge, David Brent and Basil Fawlty have become engrained into the fabric of this country's comedy lineage and still serve to inspire subsequent generations.  But why does it seem that the once-beloved British sitcom has taken a back seat in the eyes of the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 in favour of more generic formats like panel shows? Episode #49 of the Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind podcast sees the team delve into the Dark Side of the Ring documentary series exploring those oftentimes tragic stories surrounding the lives of past wrestlers.  

By the late-90s, WWF wrestlers were well-known to spend 300 days of the year on the road, travelling from one town to the next to perform.  The brutal and gruelling lifestyle impacted wrestlers in many ways with many picking up vices including addictions to alcohol, drugs, pills, etc.  As explained in the title, Dark Side of the Ring, as a series, gravitates to these challenging stories bringing to light the difficulties wrestlers experienced in a very much bygone era of wrestling.

Welcome to Episode #13 of the 90s State of Mind podcast - a collaborative project between 4ever in Electric Dreams and Blue-in-Green:RADIO. This podcast series sees Imran (London, UK) and Rhonda (California, USA) delve into some of their favourite releases from the 90s and for this episode, the pair revisit Bobby Brown's, 'Bobby'.

Released 25th August 1992 through MCA Records, the album served as the third solo outing for the R&B vocalist following his departure from R&B collective New Edition.  Bobby peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 Album Chart and spawned three major US Billboard Hot 100 singles; "Humpin' Around" (US #3), "Good Enough" (US #7), and "Get Away" (US #14). The album also reached number one on the Billboard R&B Albums chart, and reached the top 10 in Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden.  Brown received his second Grammy Award nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 35th Grammy Awards for the single "Humpin' Around" and the album was certified double platinum by the RIAA.

Supple & Lean | A Geekcast 02: 'The Secret History Of The Foot Clan'

Since the site's inception, 4ever in Electric Dreams has strived to provide interesting and dynamic audio content.  Primarily revolving around podcasts that celebrated the team's varied passions for films, music and graphic novels, the list of shows has slowly expanded to provide a more diverse array of shows, again, with an eye on celebrating those areas of genre fiction we each hold dear.

The launch of our new horror anthology series, The Monsters Within Us, marks a new milestone in the 4ever landscape as the team come together, under the guidance of site co-founder, Dan Collacott, to unveil our very first in a series of audio dramas.

After a lengthy hiatus - and with great excitement - the Close Encounters of the Nerd Kind podcast finally unveils Episode #66 and sees Dan, Tee-J and Imran reconnect over their shared passion for square circle related discussions.

More specifically, the team are discussing the ground-breaking AEW PPV - broadcast live from Wembley Stadium, Sunday 27th August 2023 - which also saw Tee-J in live attendance with some of our 4ever affiliates, Richard Roth and Richard Iacono. C.E.N.K. #68: "Fantasy booking AEW vs WWE"

We want to extend a special thanks to our friends over at Blue-in-Green:RADIO for allowing us to share the enclosed audio.  Since the shocking, and frankly horrifying, events of last month, the radio station has made the difficult decision to end phone-ins during their live broadcasts.  Although a difficult decision to make, it is one that many have understood to be the only course of action available.

Despite the police maintaining that no laws were actually broken, the radio station has no recourse but to put the safety of its presenters and its listeners as its top priority.  

Blue-in-Green:RADIO have issued an official statement and understandably want to draw a line under the matter. Welcome to Episode #6 of the 4ever in Electric Dreams & CONFESSIONS OF A CURLY MIND co-production - Supple & Lean | A Geekcast.

Following their three-episode mini series delving into the Bad Lip Reading project, 'Axe Assassin Albertson', Imran Mirza from London, UK, and Vahé Vishapakagh Koshayan from Melbourne, Australia, kick-start the first of their next trio of episodes this time revisiting films and shows that made up the MCU's Phases 4 and 5.

As devoted fans of the staggering achievement that was Marvel's Infinity Saga, it would perhaps be fair to say that the ushering in of Marvel's new era has had more than a few bumps in the road.  With criticisms ranging from an over abundance of content to a significant dip in quality to personnel changes, reshoots, etc fan support has started to wane.  But with their objective hats back on, Vahé and Imran engage in a series of broader MCU-based discussions as well as diving in to more focused conversations on the product. Released in 1995 as part of the 'Journeys by DJ' series which saw heavy-hitters like Norman Jay, Gilles Peterson, amongst others, present their selections, the UK duo Coldcut delivered this incredible genre-spanning masterpiece.
