The name Vivid stands for a lively, organic sound, as a counterargument to a monotonous and
"cold" techno. In his sets as well as in his productions, the cologne native incorporates textured
sounds and abstract atmospheres. Paired with fast syncopated percussion, the result is a
driving hypnotic sound that won't let your feet stand still. The enthusiasm for different rhythms
has accompanied Vivid all his life. As a child, he played drums with his father and drummed on
all kinds of objects. As a teenager, he immersed himself in the production of music and found
joy in underscoring his beats with various synthesizers. In the process, he discovered his
favourite tools, reverb and delay effects, which today have become an elementary part of his
sound, which is also reflected in his sets.

We met Stephan quite a long time ago at an event in Cologne, and his talent stole our hearts immediately! VIVEZ has been producing almost half his life (since he was 13), and bought his first controller 10 years ago. The length of his sonic history certainly shows in his productions and mixes: He kicked off his DJing with deep DnB sounds in the initial years, but as he continued his union with the sound, he found his way towards deep, hypnotic, textured and bleepy grooves. He's struck by the feeling of dissolving in music, its ability to make one switch off their head and exist only in the soundscapes. その時ふと、訪れた啓示─Kensho─禅で言う「見性」、つまり本質の直観的な悟り。
震えながら、この世界と、自分と、音と、物語と─すべてと繋がっている証である。
すべての動き、形、音が意味するものを解釈し、象徴=本質へとまっしぐらに回帰するあらゆる形と実質を探究し続けると決めた今この瞬間の祈りと啓示そのものを音として昇華した。
