Highway They Call Love

Based in Shillong, 4th Element is the only band in Northeast India that bends and blends the four styles of funk, jazz, R’n’B and soul in its quest for creative expression. Inspired by artists like Earth, Wind and Fire, Incognito, Joe Sample, Lee Ritneour, Larry Carlton, Randy Crawford and Crusaders, etc 4th Element plays music with spirit, soul and spunk and is constantly fashioning 
its own distinctive voice. Heading the band is Ribor mb, a music director in the Northeast and also a session keyboardist.  Amit Mullick plays the guitar and is also a session guitarist. On drums is the renowned and accomplished Sam Shullai, who also plays for HFT and others and on  bass is Jeffrey Laloo, who formerly performed for Delhi-based band October.Off-late at select gigs, the band infuses elements of Khasi traditional music that blends with the 
other elements of 4th element. The band likes to feature different singers for different shows or occasions. The band has represented India at the Philippines International Jazz fest, The Jazzmandu festival, in Kathmandu , The Delhi International Jazz Fest in New Delhi and other festivals in India. The band has performed in Sing Jazz Club, Singapore as well as all over India.
