BATTLE OF THE COLOSSUS

Wrote this one over the weekend. Digging the space in this one as it gives me more room for vocals down the track. The inspiration for this comes from the arrival of my newborn son. I tried to channel the foreign and terrifying nature of having such a fragile life in my hands and what a heavy responsibility it is. While also focusing on the amazing thrills of fatherhood and the excitement of things to come; That the ups and downs are and will always be beautiful. Haven't tested this mix on anything other than some logitech speakers so I hope it translates well. :D

Blink And You'll Miss The Universe

Wrote this beastie over the last week. This one is based on a concept of Predator and Prey/Stalker and Victim type thing. The first half or so is from the perspective of the Predator stalking and attacking their subject and the second half is from the perspective of the Prey as they escape their captor. I had a decent amount of fun writing this absurd thing.

This is me, charlez360, playing the alto saxophone and the piano to John Mayer's "Love Is A Verb" off of his most recent album titled "Born And Raised."  I am particularly fond of this song, because it addresses a fundamental truth about love.   It is much easier to say that you love someone than it is to act in ways that prove that love.
