"Is This Your Scene?" #1

Recently, I've been reflecting on the things that inspired me to take up DJing as a bedroom hobby just over a year ago and how they impact my sound. The one thing that has stood out to me so far has been my desire to create a safe space for people through the music I mix, as that was such a big part of my decision to embark on this journey. 

At first, I found it difficult to find comfort in a new scene despite loving the music so much and often faced racial discrimination at raves across Europe. My love for the music and the support of my friends got me through it and have now inspired me to create a mix series entitled "Is This Your Scene?", starting with this mix, "SANCTUARY". 

To me, this mix and the series it will spawn are about channelling the raw emotions I've felt and witnessed on dancefloors over the last few years and creating a sanctuary for people to express themselves through endless loops and driving drums rooted in groovy and hypnotic tracks. This mix is an insight into my safe space, and if you're kind enough to give it a listen, I hope it inspires something in you too. As always, please let me know what you think❤️
