ERMETE (Luca Umidi) is an ambient/drone project that blends sonic exploration with dark, retro-futuristic tones, unfolding over a fluid and immersive droning foundation.

The debut self-titled album "Ermete" is composed of three distinct movements:

"29°00′N 13°44′W", the opening piece, is an extended composition divided into three parts. Its structure revolves around three evolving themes, emerging from a hypnotic and earth-shaking drone that underpins the entire track. Loosely inspired by volcanic landscapes of imagined, other world, it evokes an alien yet organic terrain.

"Magnetic Drift" flows like an ever-shifting tide, gradually building into a melody that floats atop the evolving sound mass, gaining strength and density as the track progresses.

"Distant" takes a more melancholic and introspective tone, with subtly shifting chords and melodies intensifying as the song reaches its peak.

The album was recorded entirely live, with minimal overdubs used sparingly to preserve the organic interplay between performance and sound modulation. This approach emphasises spontaneity and a direct connection to the music’s essence. The result is an immersive journey across three distinct soundscapes, traversing dreamlike terrains and delving into deeply resonant inner vibrations.

Acid Castello is an emerging trio of Italian producers with a penchant for analogue-infused techno and - much like their name suggests - crafty acid sounds. Consisting of Marcio McFly, Bhonz and Endo, all three individuals are heavily influenced by 80’s science fiction soundtracks, the likes of which very much comes to the fore on their upcoming debut LP, the quite exceptional Woman 5000.

In 2010, during the first quite exceptional participation of 51beats to the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards in Paris, we got in contact with Jam's, which later released his debut-album "Homeless Soul" with us. It is an immense pleasure to host Jam's again on 51beats to celebrate our first 10 years.

Marcio McFly plays a central role @51beats since the beginning, being an eclectic artist with interests ranging from analogue synthesizers to country music. Following the first machine-oriented experience with Spectacular Synthesizer, in 2009 Marcio founded “I CANI”, later on @icanigiganti, the live-analog synthesizer project that rocked the dancefloors until 2013 with a real live-techno experience. From 2009, Marcio McFly's “solo project” crosses different genres, as clearly defined since his debut-album “Farsi le Foto” that has been nominated in the “Discovery” category at the QWARTZ New Electronic Music Awards in 2010. 
Being currently a member of the well-acclaimed @acid-castello madness-trio, @marcio-mcfly presents his latest solo-opera SPACE SAFARI, a superb genre-borders-crossing album where powerful italo hip-hop intersect electro and techno for the most exigent audience.  Modular synthesizers and drum-machines meet hip-hop-beats (feat. @devia-clan) and vinyl-old-sKool scratches (feat. DJ Alan).

Our genre-defining artist Hana Sent is back with his second EP, a fresh Eyes Cream for your summer !

Hana Sent is a project based in Italy, devoted to IDM, early house music and synth-wave. Hana composes music with cheap ’80s synthesizers, drum machines and computer. Happy melodies are at the core of this sonic approach. Hana‘s challenge is to try remain an enigma wrapped in mystery, in order to explore silly sonic directions that nothing have to do with h** deadly serious main music affaire. The name draws its origins in the South Korea, but actually we don’t know much about. Hana Sent debut release "Lampoooni" is been published by 51beats on tape and free digital download in April 2017. Is now time for the second chapter of the journey: "Eyes Cream" will be out in July 2018!

"Eyes Cream" by Hana Sent open up with the syncopated percussive arpeggios of "Arctic Toys", which introduce a slow but decisive beat, markedly eighties, before cool melodies like a gin tonic on the rocks let us enter the mood of the album . It continues with the dreamy melodic lines of the title track, which take us on a sunny Caribbean beach, complete with windblown palm trees and tortoise sunglasses. "Hanawon Nights" does the verse to a certain synth pop of the 90s, with its claps on beat and a rolling snare that charges the percussive inputs, a sampled marimba completes the picture, assured headbanging, for the most exquisitely dancey piece of the EP. In the slow and moving body of "Body High" you find echoes of a Moby under ice, always with a splash of gin, and you can dream of a long summer sea in the west coast frequented by lovers of rollerblading. "Disco Splendydog" takes advantage of a great bass-up spin and inserts 8bit elements and fast rhythm synths, with vocal samples, stylized sctraches and tb303: early house, early acid, early pleasure. The EP closes with the melancholic melodies of "Kimchi Break Out", like in dreams, which when they end leave a smile on your face but also a certain nostalgia.
