The man whom I'm named after, Adolfo Ernesto Samudio Avila, nicknamed Fito, studied in London and went on to become the Chief of Detectives in Panama around the middle of the last century.  He was my grandfather's older brother, out of several older than the two.  He married Verna Levy, a beautiful, blonde, blue eyed Jamaican young woman of British descent.  Verna had an older sister, Esme Veronique, of whom I only recently learned about, during a recent trip to the family mausoleum.

This piece is an imagining of their doings-about as a trio during their young times in and about Kingston, Jamaica, Panama City, Panama, and London, England, during the late nineteen twenties.

Music to listen to while wandering through an airport; they seem to have a unique atmosphere, perhaps contributed to by the equalization of all people into 'travelers'. Unique also in cases where you may frequent a specific hub over a period of time, perhaps a lounge inside it, maybe even those who work there, that space can become a familiar and comfortable atmosphere within a city you may never step foot in.

It's Over

New work for an exhibition in Jan 2020... In Italy working on my Russolo studies in particular his quest to 'spiritualise' sound and use it as a path for the transfiguration of perception, in effect using noise to open channels for supernatural communication. For this he used his ensemble of Intonarumori. As my Intonarumori are way too big to fly to Italy I had been thinking about my own ways of using sound to (poetically)communicate with Russolo and through the study of Pythagorean number theory have invented my own formula for 'spiritualizing' sound. This recording is the result of a 1 hour field recording taken at the grave of Russolo then manipulated according to the occult number strategy I devised. I see it as an 'evocation' of listening to his spirit... an imagined communication across time through the mediation of noise.

Not a huge deal to say about this, other than it’s pretty much as dark as I like to get. Straying much further from the light would likely cause me considerable emotional trauma.
