This 52 Jokers Comedy Podcast episode 52-007: Ward, Go Easy On The Beaver features Phillip Kopczynski, a natural comedian, who just like Roy Hobbs started a little later in life. To many it seems to matter when a person started a particular career, I believe it makes absolutely no difference if it brings you and others joy. Rodney Dangerfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Martha Stuart, Col. Sanders all found success later in their life. Hell, Morgan Freeman didn't catch his break until 1989, when he was 34 years old. In 1989 he starred in Lean on Me, Driving Miss Daisy and Glory, pretty incredible break. According to social norms, a person should find their calling early, while there is still eye appeal. Like getting older is something to be ashamed of. Spoiler alert, everyone gets old. Nobody beats death and wins the game of Life, though the Queen is giving it a good try. Phillip Kopczynski is a devoted family man and a hell of a comedian. Like many stand-up comics, it is difficult for me to sit through a comedy show I'm not in. I get envious of whoever is on stage and want to experience the laughter they are experiencing. But with few exceptions, there are a handful of comedians I look forward to just watch and enjoy, and Phillip Kopczynski is one of those few.

In a gesture to show appreciation for all those who have shown love for live comedy, and for those that have subscribed to the 52 Jokers Comedy Podcast and/or liked the articles on 52Jokers.org I made this promise. From a pool of subscribers, I would pick a name and they could be, (if they chose) co-host on an episode of 52 Jokers Comedy Podcast. I contacted the winner and to my dismay she said yes in a very annoying, yet eager shrill. At that moment I feel I would have preferred to give away a jet instead of enduring whatever was about to unpredictably happen.
     In the end, we had a great time, drank a bottle of FireBall and talked about something and everything. It was like trying to keep an eye on a toddler in a Toys-R-Us during Christmas. Nerve-racking, but fun. Of course, only a select few Toys-R-Us allow patrons to take steady Fireball shots until they declare Jeffery Dahmer an alright dude.
     Congratulations Taunya Thornton of Kennewick, Washington. You were our first 52 Jokers co-host, you proved to have a contagious laugh and entertainment-wise, you were very mediocre.
