Things aren’t as clear as i’d like them to be right about now

WEEK SEVEN

Waking up on a couch in somebody else’s house
With my forehead pressed up against your mouth
This is how it always ends, there are no means to make amends
Brush my teeth to spit you out at 8 a.m.
This is not something I’d like to live again
But that’s just how this works, sleeping with a friend

It’s so cold in the morn, all the blankets kicked to the floor
There’s no water left in the half-full cup
Say you’ll call me around three, wanna talk about your feelings
Is there anything that could make you shut up
It was just a dumb take-two, now that’s enough
But that’s just how it goes, mistakes and lessons learned

Waking up in your bed, call me out point blank instead

If I don’t leave, it never ends, but I’ll pull your shirt over my head
Kiss your cheek and say goodbye at 8 a.m.
You just smile and say we’ll do this soon again,
