Double Ten Day (10/10) in Taiwan has evolved throughout the years into a national day celebrating Taiwan's self-reliant progress, and its distinct culture. Commemorating this, Jin Records will release a unique compilation with five Taiwan-based producers celebrating the island. Crossing the musical spectrum, it showcases the diversity of Taiwan's electronic music scene.
To celebrate further, we will donate 50% of the revenue to the Taiwanese NGO Green Citizen's Action Alliance (GCAA) 綠色公民行動聯盟. This organization focuses on environmental issues and seeks to preserve Taiwan's unique biodiversity.

Jealous Hours is the first full-length LP by the Tel-Aviv based DJ & producer Lily Haz. Featuring nine genre-bending tracks in her distinctive electro-dub style, the project playfully emphasizes & recontextualizes the role of sampling using cinematic references to nineties cult songs & movies.

“I’m a rapper!” says the kid to the cop. “Oh you’re a rapper? Oh, ok… Be cool, stay in school” the cop condescently replies.

Thanks to her unique approach to production, Lily takes us for a tour in her obscure, ethereal universe where hip hop’s supremacy is undisputed. Flirting with the club realm while fearlessly determined in her style, each of one of her core influences is essential to this parallel universe. Out there, pitched-down rap verses top obscure beats and rolling liquid jungle drums ; extended intros and outros riffle through the whole spectrum of human emotion. From anger to the puzzling humoristic dialogues she creates by toying with her own layered vocals or memphis rap samples, one cannot help but let himself dive into this ethereal consciousness outburst.

Up first is L&F, offering us some bass laden UKG badness, followed by Cabale with a tasty slice of piano and pad infused 2-step. Awlies comes through on a sublime and magical breakbeat tip, while Helter lands some twisted yet delightful breaks and bass business. Neathway & Alter hit the halfway mark of the compilation: a tidy piece of jungle action reminiscent of the genres 90s heyday. Up next is Withheld producing a soulful yet energetic drum and bass stunner, followed by Charleeps with a transcendent and acidy yet melancholic electro-breakbeat number. Aevasyon delivers some gorgeous, retro-tinged breakbeat vibes and Talihatta brings the energy down with some clever and subtle downtempo. Her heart rate began to quicken and her breath shorten; the pressure was unlike anything she'd experienced before. Orders were being barked from all sides of the room, as soon as she began the first task, there was already another three that needed to be fulfilled. She thought she'd thrive in this environment, that it would push her out of her comfort zone, but she hadn't imagined it would be this intense. Maybe she wasn't cut out for it, but for now she just had to make it through this service...

Key Clef's next release celebrates the foundations of her label Ipnotica Erotica, in both sound and name. The Berlin-based producer and live artist has a foot in several different musical worlds, from club music to electro acoustics and performance art, as well as a background in sound engineering, all of which play a part in her refined analogue productions. There's a slickness and a no bells and whistles approach to all three tracks which showcase her deftness at synthesis and ability to create unfolding compositions that weave together metallic, stripped back techno and electro sounds.

The machinery came to a clattering halt, the sheer sound of it forcing the entire building to judder and shake. The factory had seen better days; the brickwork was crumbling away, the smell of dust and oil hung thick in the air and clung to your clothes. It was a wonder it still operated as it did, that it even opened on a daily basis or that it managed to retain enough staff to keeping things ticking over. Slowly but surely its purpose was becoming defunct, but it would cling on to life for as long as humanly possible...

Cyphon Recordings next signing have made a name for themselves under a number of different aliases. The Tijuana-based brother duo have had deep house outings as Soul of Hex and a debut as Mano De Fuego on Underground Resistance, but with this brand new project, Cyborg Nerve, their focus is firmly on electro. Balancing crystallised intergalactic cuts and raw, machine funk grooves, the EP is a triumphant introduction to the newest musical string to the Vicario Musique Recordings bow.

“Amor i Ritme” is the music of solidarity: 27 artists united in a single beat. A release that travels through different sounds and styles from ambient and house to industrial EBM, techno and acid in solidarity with one of the most emblematic places of the electronic music scene in Spain. The compilation features contributions from Andy Butler of American group Hercules and Love Affair feat Intuit Dazey, Belgrade-based producer and disc-jockey Lipelis, Periodica Records affiliate Whodamanny, and Madrid-via-Chile DJ-producer Fernanda Arrau alongside Multi Culti producer Balam, who join names from across the Spanish electronic scene such as Pau Roca, ALVVA, Jaisiel and Barcelona duo People You May Know, formed by Phran and Ylia, GAZZI, among others.

All proceeds will be split 50/50 between two charities who are helping to raise money for those affected and to rebuild communities that have been devastated: Aldis Paiporta, which helps people with disabilities who have lost everything, and the Horta SuD Foundation, which works with civil society to stimulate and strengthen the social fabric in the Valencian Community, with special attention given to programmes developed in the region of Horta Sud (Valencia).
