The album was recorded throughout 2010 with long-time friend to the band, producer Dave Oglivie. The band worked in a variety of studios to produce the record, including Hipposonic (formerly Mushroom Studios) as well as 604 Studios and the band's very own studio space, known as the Smiling Buddha Enjoyment Complex.

Rolling Stones
I was sitting on my bed playing the guitar chords daydreaming. My daughter  (Coral) walks in and sits beside me and we start to chat while I’m still chording. 54-40 opening slot for the Rolling Stones in Calgary was a week away. For me, the Stones are the apostles of Rock n Roll. So…. Coral and I just started to express our dreamy excitement over the chords. 54-40 did a warm up show in at a small club Banff a couple of days earlier. Unknown to us Ron Wood was in Banff on a break. He came to our show and took us out for drinks afterward. When we arrived at the Saddle dome in Calgary. Ronnie graciously came out to meet us and introduced us to Charlie Mick and Keith. It was a great night and total career highlight some 20 years after we formed. Enjoy
