OD Muzique & Mark Holmes of Sankeys and Disco Electronica fame present their first release for 54 with their thought provoking EP named 'Killer Clowns' Killer Clowns is a deep dark bubbling tech house No. with eary pads and melodic leads complimented by infectious percussion and sinister effects and edits. The track has many levels and has received massive support from Marc Romboy of Systmatic records who has already been playing the track in his sets across the globe, Quote "when ever i play Killer Clowns it always achieves absolute dancefloor damage, this is an amazing track by these clearly talented guys" Killer Clowns has also been used for the music score for the world renowned Sankeys (website) in Mancunia where the boys hold both there residencies. 'The laugh will get you everytime'

The next track on the EP is a full on Techno stormer and has already seen remixes out there by Bigger Than Jesus and Zoo Brazil for the Disco Electronica Allstars EP released earlier this year. Both remixes did extremely well and are featured on many a DJs charts and in string of DJs record boxes including, Fergie, Ewan Pearson, King Unique Paulo Mojo the list goes on. We thought it wa about time we released the Original so expect full on percussion and a thunderous baseline complimented by quirky edits and a  killer breakdown with a massive bone shaking drop. Described by the Bigger Than Jesus lads as simply 'Ooooh Naughty'

First up on our newly found 54Music Dub imprint we introduce June Miller, Making waves across the North Sea from London, England to Utrecht, Holland, June Miller aka Mark McCann and Bart van Dijk pride themselves on their open-minded approach to music. After many inspiring years of travelling across Europe with bands, playing, writing and performing the music they love, they were drawn to the hypnotic sounds of Drum and Bass. And so in 2007, June Miller was born. Not only have they released tracks with some of drum and basses most bespoke labels including Renegade Hardware, Cylon and InnerActive  June Miller have been showcased globally and have now been spotted by London’s most sought after brand and club, Fabric.

The Brussels North E.P due for release early April has already been causing a stir in the underground Dubstep scene, the stripped back debut release from June Miller includes tracks Brussel North, a smooth ‘tropical’ sounding track and Shizgara – a deep hard hitting roller that is guaranteed to smash the dancefloor.  Included with the original material comes remixes of Brussel North from Bristol legend Wascal, who’s 2-Step influenced remix is an excellent twist on the original - and a beefed up version from Asa, a rapidly rising star in the scene.  This solid E.P is definitely one for the record box as 54Music Dub introduces some of the hottest talent around.

June Miller - Shizgara

54 Music's first outing on the vinyl medium comes in the form of a Latin American influenced EP from Steve Lawler's duo prodigy, Darius Syrossian & Nyra.

All 3 cuts are straight up dance-floor tools, infused with Latin rhythms and melodies and perfectly complementing each other to make this an essential EP for any DJ who is a fan of the Mannheim sound, conduicive to the sort of loopy, organic sets played by the likes of Nick Curly.

First up is Tequila Gold. The trumpet is the focal point here. As it's gradually introduced over the course of a few minutes, it meanders until the breakdown, where it is ultimately left to its own devices, improvising, twisting and turning, and taking the crowd along for the ride. The kick drum slams back in, bringing with it those spicy and percussive latin rhythms  that have been embellishing the track throughout. This one's for those looking to bring the crowd to the next level with a huge breakdown.

'Montevideo' is the techiest track on the EP, focusing on the undulating, sub-bass rhythms, and punctuated with those familiar Latin American vocal snippets that decorate the whole EP whilst '1974' is more upfront, guaranteed to send the crowd wild with its loopy, filtered samples and latin percussion.

Launched in March 2009, ready for the Miami Winter Music Conference (WMC), 54 Music has one clear, concise objective - to search for the future heroes and heroines of tomorrow. 54 Music will also be responsible for releasing music from names known and loved, as we stay true to the music that is closest to their hearts. 

With a diverse and dynamic way of thinking, we plan on having a variety of genres spread across three contrasting sides of the label. 

Introducing the LIGHT, DARK & DUB sides of 54 Music. The LIGHT will be host to only the finest Deep House and Tech House. The DARK will be home to Techno and Minimal Techno. The Dub will be responsible for the deeper side of Dub and Drum & Bass.
