wrote this one today...inspired by my current ant infestation, fueled by my sheer frustration with their ignorant presence. here are the lyrics: 

I found a piece of candy
inside my denim drawers
it’s melted through the wrapper
and it sticks right to the floor 

the bugs are all waiting
calling all their fucking friends
to eat some of my candy
and I sit and play pretend…

to be one of them
god how I wish to be one of them…

imagine searching soil 
just to make it back to base
knowing I am loyal
to my queen in black lace

unaware of the ability
to find my own autonomy
this candy means more to me than life

god how I wish it was simple
instead of this life where I wrinkle
searching for purpose in bodies
I’d rather be sharing this candy…

I wanted to finally record this one after sitting on it for like 6 months. here are the lyrics:

I was a peach inside a peach field
plucked from the branch that I grew on
plopped in your hands like it's natural
you picked me like you knew me

and then you washed my skin in the river stream,
along with the rocks and the fallen leaves
and you sat down on the stone
facing the sun and looked back at me

and then a big ol' bite followed after a few
you knew I was one of one but you...
still let me drip on the grass, down the crease of your mouth
then you spat my pit out and left me on the ground.

oh I was dumb enough to think you'd come right back.
maybe use my pit for an art project?
now I'm laying on the ground, all alone.
actually I got the bugs to eat me whole
