Recalibrating

The initial idea of Idiosync music was to give a new life to samples of Soviet music. Hence the title of the artist’s debut album — ‘Extrapolation’. With time the concept became less rigid, and encompassed samples of variegated origins. Eventually Idiosync’s production approach has changed so profoundly that releasing music under that name no longer seemed justified. As the artist explores new creative horizons he wants to share with you the last track he believes to be in true Idiosync spirit — an assemblage of Soviet samples that seeks the ghostly groove of XX century communist music. First Day is a track from the 56STUFF 2018 compilation ‘Music For Eukaryotes’. The track title refers to the moment of awakening of revolutionary consciousness. The voice sample is taken from the 1967 British film ‘Privilege’ by Peter Watkins.
