No crown, long hair
No cloak or sceptre
In an easy chair.

In the midst of friends
As evening advances
Watches the show
A cascade of trances.

The queen of diamonds
Descends the stairs
With two fair knights
They come in pairs.

Her aura shines out
To fill the place
Drawing all present
Into her space.

The king of spades
The queen of diamonds
A rare moment
In this time of silence.

Dreaming hearts
A throng of sages
An evening gathering
From the stoned ages.

The room itself
Full of easy chairs
Scent of dreams
On the evening air.

In the background
The white albums play
Endless songs
From a penny arcade.
