Spending a number of years experiencing the thriving growth of the Calgary underground birthed a true passion in Erik Aguilar, and unshackled his creativity to give life to the coming phenomenon that is Grey Matters. 
Enjoying his formative years setting BC festivals and late night raves as an inspirational backdrop, Aguilar retained the many lessons, and mentors, of music production that would later serve as a springboard for his budding career. Aspirations to join the ranks of the nightlife community that he had rooted himself within manifested with hard work and talent, fully blossoming once he turned to the tables in 2012. Beginning with simple open decks nights at local haunts, he has grown to fill slots for various shows across Alberta, as well as heading down to Costa Rica to smash Bamboo Bass Festival with his drilling sound. Grey Matters has taken Calgary by storm with his techy, dark neurofunk and drum and bass stylings.Following his string of successes to current times, it is obvious that Grey Matters is guaranteed to continue his ascension through the ranks of Canadian bass music.
