Been a minute.
I started the Flip Sessions series in 2014 as an homage to Jay Dee.
When I put out the Jay Dee Unreleased EP in 1997,
he included an electric piano interlude from a latin jazz album.
I asked him what his intentions were, as the EP was a collection
of remixes that had been fronted on by major labels, and it seemed slightly out of place.
His response was that he wanted to give cats something to make a beat out of. 
The main objective I had with the series is to show the importance of perspective.
There's more than one way to skin a cat.

Volume 7 coincides with the 8th anniversary of SCM.
Per usual the sample is here, it is an open entry event,
and all entries will be added to a master playlist.
The deadline is Saturday Sept 11th.

All entrants must email me their flips to SHOES@STREETCORNERSCM.COM, and post them on soundcloud labeled SCM FLIP SESSIONS 7, also including a link to the soundcloud post in the email.

I will select 2 winners and press their entries to a limited 45.
Winners will receive copies of the 45 as the prize.
