Originally written back in 2014, my out look and feelings have remained concerning this songs message and meaning. 

Fate has a somewhat solidified meaning thanks to pop-culture largely, in movies and media when referencing fate, it's often a of narrow definition that ironically beckons the inevitable negative reaction. 
The writers of these scripts write both the question and the answer and it makes the concept of 'fate' in a movie production or book ultimately meaningless to ones every day life; But yet this is the most common interaction I think most of us have with the concept of fate or destiny.  

Bruce Lee has been quoted many times for saying 'Be like Water my friend', in his eloquent analogy on how water does not have a shape, but takes the shape of everything around it; How water can flow calmly, or crash violently. 

This song is about my perception of the concept of fate injected with Bruce Lee's water analogy philosophy; The first verse talks about self mastery, collaboration and awareness of self and surroundings. 

The second verse focus on raising the level of that self mastery, about going deeper that you ever have before, about truly opening up the mind and eyes to concepts that were once hidden from you, and that under heaven and earth there is but one family. 
 
When you begin to track your progress of knowledge, and do not get personally caught up in the process, you begin to understand how simple learning can really be. 

The hook of the song is simply spoken: In a Sea of change, you must flow with the waves. The waves of life, the waves of the moment. Don't get caught, and do not drown.
