This song is inspired by artificial intelligence and how technology controls our lives. The premise is that our devices become sentient and decide to kill us. It is also a metaphor for when we cannot get our devices to work the way we want. When you are working on a computer in the workplace or at home, this song is a sonic representation of the computer telling you, “Not today!”. The robotic lyrics are the devices mocking you, and saying that you are not smart enough to operate them. A new anthem for IT professionals around the world.

Zen Zero - Digital Death Stream

This summer in Detroit we were hit with massive amounts of flooding due to our poor infrastructure. Because of this, many people including myself, were trapped in the city with no way to get home, and had to abandon our cars on the freeway. This lead to the concept of the song, and wanting to escape from Detroit. It reminded me of the sci-fi movie, "Escape From New York", and I decided to make a song revolving around the idea of Detroit being a post-apocalyptic city that needed to be fled from. It also is a metaphor for people that wish to escape from their current life situation in general, and I hope that through the song, others will relate with my feeling.
