Bringing Global Rhythms to Bass Coast: A Fusion of Latin, House and Breakbeat

I aim to introduce a fresh and exciting flavor to Bass Coast, blending the vibrant rhythms of Brazilian and Latin music with the hypnotic pulse of House and Breakbeat. By fusing the rich percussive elements of Brazilian Funk with the driving energy of electronic beats, I want to create a dancefloor experience that resonates deeply with both traditional and modern influences. This fusion invites festival-goers to experience the warmth of Latin culture and the infectious grooves that make these rhythms so universally captivating.

The connection between these musical styles is more natural than it may seem. House music and Breakbeat have its roots in community and culture, and much like the bailes de favela and samba circles of Brazil or the fiestas of Colombia, it’s about bringing people together through movement and emotion. My vision is to elevate this connection by incorporating sounds and mixes that speak to the global sounds of Latin America, while maintaining the deep basslines and steady flow that House music and Breakbeat fans crave.

By bringing this unique blend to Bass Coast, I hope to offer a musical journey that not only celebrates diversity but also opens up new avenues of creativity on the dancefloor. The result will be an electrifying set that bridges cultures and unites the audience through the universal language of rhythm and groove.

Opening the new @bass-c0ast main stage, Somewhere, on Friday was an absolute dream come true. What a privilege to stand on this stage and share music from our hearts, to reflect the roots of where our sounds come from, and to co-create a beautiful sonic journey with you. We couldn't have asked for a better Bass Coast debut.

We revere the capability of our platform to create impactful change. It is an honour and privilege to stand where we do today because so many others made it possible to do so. We celebrate those who paved the way, and we will do our best to continue to create lasting change. The set we curated was a free flowing and intuitive one, we followed your lead, with no preconceived plan beyond a catalogue of hundreds of songs. Our music was selected to reflect and pay homage to our roots... not to go backwards but instead to move forwards with respect for those who created the sounds that we love and share today. Laced with classic Hard House legends, Trance anthology, and our own societally expanding IDs, we are proud to have shared from our hearts a set that truly reflects who we are and where we came from.

It's all about LOVE bbz and together we can change the fucking world.

Last summer into late spring, I started building up a collection of fast-paced, uptempo tech house. Think Bolier Room UK; Chris Stussy, salute, Kolter. It's all a serious vibe. Mix in a cocktail of some funky bassline hitters, and you have Second Nature. This one is a collection of all my faves from this year and my season end, Summer wrap-up.
