A double debut on NoZzo Music as Ferra Black drops ‘Play’ with UK duo Late replies on remix duties.

LA-based artist & Used Good label boss Ferra Black makes his way to NoZzo Music for the first time as he delivers a percussive-rich offering in ‘Play’. Joining him, also making their label debut, renowned UK duo Late Replies drop in with a standout remix.

‘Play’ opens the release with stripped-back grooves and creative rhythmic constructions. Weighty drums bounce off endless layers of instrumental cadence, whilst a rumbling sub pulsates, and a catchy vocal hook stirs along with the beat. This one is a certified vibe-builder with heaps of attitude and finesse from start to finish.

Late Replies bring the EP to a close with their remix of ‘Play’, featuring a generous serving of their signature flow. Swinging drums and shuddering percs carve out a jackin’ groove whilst rhythmic sub-bass bounces alongside subtle melodic elements and vox chops. Ultimately danceable and loaded with character, capable of lighting up the party with ease.

Dj depuis l'âge de 15 ans bastos à appris à mixer sur vinyles avec une paires de platine technics mk2 . Il commencera à jouer des style plus hard comme la tribe ou l'acidcore pour 10 après ralentir en bpm et jouer des son plus cool comme la techno ou le breakbeat electro.
Néanmoins il aime se balader à travers tous les styles car il est passionné de musique électronique en tout genre.
Pour ce podcast ce sera un mix acidtechno 140 to 145bpm 100% vinyles.

There is a bumping tenacity to Copasetic music that is ever prevalent on ‘Situations’. Opening with a flurry of tumbling snares and warbling bass, the title track makes for a crisp intro featuring a soulful vocal sample late on that ties the beat together slickly. Up next is ‘Helpless’, where the spirited pace continues in rumbling efficiency, a relentless groove at its core. The beat gradually becomes interspersed by splashing synths and squelching reverb. ‘Dutty Grooves’ calypso-like drumbeat takes proceedings down a slightly different path whilst staying true to the EP’s tech-house principles. Copasetic employs a fizzing mix of acid-led effects to add further nuance.

As the oscillating groove of ’92 Soul’ grinds with colourful gusto, the track remains in subby harmony with a prominent vocal sample. Finally, ‘Zone’ closes Copasetic’s tech-house work-out with a slightly stripped-back endeavour brimming with shaking claps, rattling snares and torte drum patterns. With varying shades of acid, electro, and funk running deep throughout the EP, the 5-tracks Copasetic has curated for his debut Nature release are primed for sun-kissed moments on melting dancefloors as the UK summer festival approaches.

In his career, Copasetic has already received support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Paco Osuna, Steve Lawler and Stacey Pullen, with ‘Situations’ only set to draw
more praise and plaudits from house music’s heaviest hitters.
