My set from Tamper Room's "Mother's Day" weekend show.

I wanted to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone with this mix by putting together the fastest set I've ever made with a lot of jumping between genres.

Mother's Day Mix (BPM = Bangers Plus Mamas)

“House Special (Jazzy Groove Mix)” is the result of an impromptu session between Nick Alan and PJ DJ. Approaching the night with a loose framework of house music and limited time, the two freestyled multiple mixes from start to finish. This set we’re sharing was the highlight of that session, capturing a vibe that can only appear when everyone involved is thinking on their feet and fully locked into the moment.
 
I'm happy to be starting off this series of B2B mixes with none other than Nick Alan of Fieldtrip. We first met at a local arcade through a shared interest in playing fighting games. About a decade later, I unexpectedly ran into Nick at a friend's place in 2023. To my surprise, I learned that he had been seriously DJ'ing since we last saw each other and that the music we were both into was very similar. Since then, Nick has been massively supportive in my journey to become a DJ. I'm glad that we've been able to reconnect again through another shared hobby we're both passionate about, and I look forward to hearing what else comes out of it.

"Days Cold (Nights Dark mix)" is the latest B2B set from Nick Alan and PJ DJ. Focused on deep bass music, the duo shifts between dubstep, dark garage, grime, and a few other surprises in this winter-themed freestyle set.

After going to a few shows in San Francisco at the start of winter, I found myself digging into bass music in a way I never had before. The deep dark sounds fit in perfectly with the cold gray days of December. One night, after going to Nick's place to rip a handful of dubplates, we had just enough time to record one B2B and were able to put together this mix in a single take.

Y2K throwbacks, house, pop, garage, atmospheric dnb, jungle, trance, and more all come together into a chilled-out and upbeat marathon mix.

Recommended for long trips or productive background music.

Nostalgia Night Market Mix

"In A Trance (Innocence Mix)" is an introspective look back at trance music and the period of my life that's connected to it. 

Focused on tracks released between 2006-2009, this set contains personal favorites from what I would consider to be the last golden era of trance (for now....)
