A song I wrote about my father, who died at the age of 29. I feel like I know him because of all the stories and things I have heard, mainly from my mother. As an adult I wonder who he really was... I only have other peoples ideas. His photo on the hall table was an ever present reminder of the part he played in our lives.

Their self titled album, Eagle & The Wolf,  is a collection of ten songs,  co-produced by the duo alongside Syd Green (Matt Tonks, Dirty Lucy, Iota) in an old farm house in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia. You can hear every breath, the crackle of the fire, and birds calling in the distance. It’s as raw and heartfelt as it gets and the performances are stunning.

The record, Eagle & The Wolf, will be released on February 15th  2016. Eagle & The Wolf will be touring NSW and Victoria in Feb/March opening for folk/roots cult hero, Charlie Parr (USA), before announcing dates for their own national tour.

The album’s only cover, a measured and delicate reading of The Choirboys‘ (drummer Tebbutt’s old band) ‘Run to Paradise’ reminds of The Cowboy Junkies‘ hazy 1988 take on Lou Reed‘s ‘Sweet Jane’ – a ballad-like interpretation of a rocker, that turns the lyrics around to mean quite something else.
