The music was for then. The journey ended some time ago (or did it?)
 
They were born out of musical differences and formed from a cross section of two bands 'Dead Head' & 'The Everything', the '67 KUNG FU ESKIMOS' never actually got to play live, much to their constant frustration and dismay. They did however record their debut 4 track EP entitled 'Suitable for Microwaves'. In a very rushed 4 hours amidst production problems and with the lead guitarist laying down a million solo's for one song then deciding the original was better, the four classic tracks were recorded live! It was felt by the band that the quality of the production did not portray the raw power the Eskimo's frequently portrayed. 

A string of gigs were lined up in suport of the EP across the UK but did not happen due to the sacking of singer Chris. After the failure to bring in a suitable singer and amidst constant press speculation of former 'The Everything' frontman Paul May potentially being available for the role, speculation that was later found to be untrue, a singer could not be found. 

Much debate ensued amongst the three remaining members about the way forward without a singer and how to spread the Eskimo gospel further. The only logical solution was one of these three had to take over the Vocals role. Chris immediately ruled himself out, Phil didn't want the title of frontman, despite performing backing vocals on many Eskimo tracks with ease and Paul, whilst attempting it for a short while did not want to be seen as a 'Phil Collins style' front/back man playing drums and singing. Amidst many calls for a reformation of the band, come backs a plenty have been spoken about but have never quite materialised for one reason or another.
 
Paul, Phil & Chris W still keep in contact and were still writing up until a few years ago. Such songs as 'Mad Crazy Ape', 'Super Dog Trolley Pants' and 'Shes Invisible' have only been aired to a select few and received rave reviews, yet they are still to be adored by their fanatical following. The three are still awaiting that elusive call to arms.... 

Chris Mitchell dissapeared into thin air after the sacking for never having any money to pay for rehearsals, but always having enough money for his bus fare home and enough beer for each rehearsal. Rock n Roll!!!! Trivial goings on you may say? Maybe so, but at the time it was and still is a major bone of contention for the three remaining members, the lazy sponging get!! Chris later surfaced on a facebook site appearing as a guitarist in a pub playing duet. He's lost the specs, dyed his hair and probably still has little money to pay for rehearsals.
 
Whilst Chris W & Phil 'Hendrix' May raise their numerous children on stories of Rock 'n' Roll excess, Paul tends to his cats and garden, telling his plants, cats and anything else within ear shot the stories of Rock 'n' Roll excess that befell the band during those heady days way back when. Paul dreams of things that should've have been, could indeed still be, desperately tries not to dream of that sad day he sold his Premier Olympic Drum Kit on Ebay and FB's that need F! Phil dreams of Mad crazy things, hair floating in the sink, raising his boys to start the '67 Kung Fu Eskimos Tribute Band'. Whilst Chris dreams of a his kids joing Phils kids in this tribute band, also of a good nights sleep, vodka, fur lined guitar cases and days gone by in Jillys when the band did indeed for a short period of time live the dream! 

Sorely missed by the 'Alphabet' studios in Stockport and it's diminutive owner, the Eskimo's never had a garden, nor did they ever build a moon flower for that place. They did however, walk into Room 1205, where they heard a Scream and found a Solution for a Negative Big Pig Fantasy. Room 1205 also had hair floating in the sink, but a telephone couldn't be found.
 Recent rumours of the Eskimo's recording the 'Dead Head' classic 'How Can I Shoot You if You Keep Moving' from their famed EP 'Music For A Confused Generation', and 'The Everythings' massive crowd pleasing favourite 'Victor' have neither been confirmed or denied.
 However in 2015 it will be 20 years since the release of 'Suitable For Microwaves' which could spark the band back into action, a true phoenix from the ashes of dying fire could rise again!
 
Specualtion continues, but the band have at this point refused to comment, leading only to further speculation amongst fans and journalists alike that a reformation of 'Zeppelin esque o2 Arena' stature could be on the cards........ 
Strangeness is as strange evolves, misunderstood so never solved!
