fourth episode

due to the lack of club mixes on my channel I finally managed to record a short contribution of music you can also expect from me in a club night. Non resistant to not start with something german, I tried to contribute all of the genres that excite me and mix them smoothly to a short hour of heavy dancefloor action.

SISSAN #4 - ELECTRONICS

for the first edition of TANZNACHT I invited good friend Felix from Morz des Soundsystem for an extended b2b to my hometown train station. Since corona we had many sessions where we used to show each other our most recent digs and hidden treasures. As we always did there, we've started the night very slow and speed up until the end. Starting with balearic, hitting the way to hiphouse, acid and italo, we tried to keep the snare rolling. Finding us in the end in trance, garage, prog house, a lots of breaky rhythms and of course some classics. At some point you will also notice the alcohol ;). dive in and enjoy!

TANZNACHT #1   w/ felix from morz b2b heronymus

sixth episode 

for this edition I went to the record stores of amsterdam to fullfill a longterm thought of doing a hip-house mix. I've admired those cracky snares and groovy baselines for a long time, but sadly most of them come along with lots of cheesy vocals. Giving my best to stay away from them, I found some good stuff, added a few digital tracks, and recorded it instantly two days after at @portente's studio. This is what came out. 
I also uploaded two tracks on my channel which haven't been on youtube yet.

SISSAN #6 - HIP HOUSE

Here's a live recording from my last appearance in the beloved basement of Goldender Reiter (Muc). It was a warm up set for the first edition of @chetrubbs new (prog) party series "hotstuff.muc". Starting with classic Jesus Loves You, Jonny Rock, to several ears on earth tracks and some recent vinyl digs, I've closed with an old remix from Atahualpa. Enjoy :-)

Heronymus @ Goldener Reiter [14.10.23]

for the third edition of TANZNACHT I invited close friend Moritz aka @mo_theprophet for another extended b2b in the train station of my hometown. We had some sessions before, but non of these lasted that long, nor we did ;-).  I brought my DJR with the new installed FX channel and also my old DYNACORD Tape Echo to test and fool around with it. Altough the Echo is sometimes not perfect audiophile, it attached really good to the whole surrounding on that evening. Starting with trip hop, balearic, ibiza chill and some flute sounds, we focused on house around 120 bpm. We found us in deep, tech, euro, acid balearic and proggy tunes, while not forgetting to keep the crowd on their feet and play some classics. Dive in and enjoy!
