Taking over the waves of our radio show this week is Madrid-based DJ and producer Tadeo - up with a choice two-hour voyage across angle-shifting mental techno scapes and further off-piste meanderings. Championing a vanguard sound ID that doesn't take anything for granted, the cyclicaltracks boss weaves his pulsating compositions with layers of intricately built textures and an otherworldly arsenal of FX to keep things effervescently stimulating from the first minute onward - which the present mix sure nails with raging presence and boundary-pushing bravura. The heavy sounds extracted from the black plastic disc inspired him to do more, to go a step further and create his own music. He sought inspiration in crowded cities and the correlation of nature with industrialized society. In music, he looks for something that is not obvious and still to discover. He is focus on his original productions, where you will find a rich mixture of dense industrial atmosphere, off beats sounds and monumental film music elements driven by energetic kick. He releases his music on VSK’s CRS ltd and VSK Series, Secret Keywords or Newrhythmic recs to name a few and his performance can be found in most clubs in Europe

Born in Zurich and grown up in Italy, Stephan Krus took his first steps into the techno world in the late ’90s, taking inspiration from his idols Jeff Mills and Dave Clarke. 

His first appearances behind the console began from a young age and due to his talent, he very quickly became a resident in some historic places in his province (Vicenza). His artistic career achieved his first major achievements in 2001 when he debuted with his first Zool EP vinyl on Underground Media Records by Mauro Picotto and landed at the legendary Italian techno club Matrix in Brescia, where he has been regular resident for five years. 

Since 2005, Stephan has continued his musical growth by playing in some of the best Italian techno clubs and festivals such as Nature Beat Festival, Phase2 Afrobar, Shame Clubbing, Ex Dogana, The Room, Amnesia, Mantra, Electrique, Il Muretto, Alterego, Bolgia, Sonica Dance Festival, Boom Festival. He also includes countries such as Poland, Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia, Switzerland and Malta, as well as clubs like Sfinks700, Liquid Club, MTW, Sub Club, Depo Klub, Bollwerk, Sugar Factory, Space Monki, Trax Club. 

Since 2013, he has been resident at HYPER’s events in Italy (near Venice), which became the stage for international techno legends such as Dave Clarke, Speedy J, Ben Sims, Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, Slam, and many, many more: www.facebook.com/HYPER.techno.culture 

The tracks from EP’s like “Runaway Giant” EP on Decoy, and latest on Jack! Who?’s DEAD CERT. Records, SK Black (includes the hypnotic remixes of XHEI and ViL), Naked Lunch, Vegim’s TMM, Adroit, District4 (with two remixes for DJ Emerson), Northern Parallels, and Liberta Records (with remix for Stephen Disario) were played and appreciated by Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Rebekah, Jeroen Search, Submerge, Nocturnal Sunshine, Nicole Moudaber and many more. 

Italian’s techno icon, Stephan Krus’ sound includes not only years of experience as a DJ, but also 20 years as a techno lover and fan. His DJ sets are a mix of old-school rhythmic, distorted and industrial rhythms, hypnotic synths, and power-full kicks: a journey towards unexplored galaxies with an ever-turned look towards the farthest past.

"There is a very special track in this set that I've never used before because it's not so easy to play, but I will tell you something about it:
More or less 10 years ago before I even knew what techno really is, I was driving to work with a colleague when he puts this song on called Stranger (to Stability) by Dustin Zahn, Len Faki remix. When I heard it, till today I can't properly describe what feelings went through my body, but I had goosebumps all over my body! Since then I listened to this track repeatedly until finally I asked a friend to take me to a club where they play this kind of music. He took me to Tresor and this is where it all started. 
This one track definitely influenced the way I produce and play records nowadays."

This is the story about mobit. (@mobit-bln) and why we had to name this set Stranger to Stability. We feel really honoured that he decided to use this track for our podcast and love the story behind it!

Rotterdam-born-and-bred Bas Mooy, founder and owner of the highly-influential industrial techno imprint Mord Records, delivers this week's no-holds-barred Global Vibe Radio episode.

Rotterdam home-based DJ/producer Bas Mooy (1976) has been active on many fronts in the techno scene since 1999. Heavily influenced by a city that breaths industrial strength twenty-fourseven, he gradually found his way into creating a unique dark sound, which lead him to the forefront of the European techno
scene.

In 2002 he kickstarted the already legendary Audio Assault record label with label partner Jeroen Liebregts aka Radial, which resulted in the birth of sublabel Arms one year later. Since then the Audio Assault family built a strong and constantly growing fan-base worldwide, showcasing an impressive catalogue with a constant output of stand out twelve inches, setting the standard for today’s quality dark techno.

For many years he has been a member of the Rotterdam underground collective ‘Strictly Techno’, creators of over a hundred legendary parties since 1996. Bas has played at many ‘top of the bill’ clubs and festivals around the globe and is a regular guest at the highly respected Awakenings parties in Holland.

Over the years Bas has been a hard working and devoted producer, spending many hours in the studio and putting out music on respected labels such as Mote Evolver, Perc Trax, Gynoid, Sleaze Records, Planet Rhythm and of course his own imprints Audio Assault and Mord Records.

As a producer, DJ, and record label owner, Barcelona-based artist Adriana Lopez is widely acclaimed as Colombia’s leading techno figure.

Starting out in Bogota, where she cut her teeth holding down residencies at Club BarC, Cinema and La Sala whilst performing across her native country’s different cities, Adriana Lopez moved to Spain in 2003 where she quickly made a name for herself throughout Europe and beyond.

With years of experience behind her, Lopez’s deep understanding of techno is evident in her high quality and tasteful selections: mixing records with a technical finesse that has led to appearances at the likes of DGTL Festival (Barcelona, Madrid), Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia), Village Underground (London), Faust and Vurt (Seoul), Vent (Tokyo), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Mondo Disko (Madrid), Berghain and Tresor (Berlin) and many more.

Meanwhile, as a producer Lopez has released several EPs, singles, and remixes on her own Grey Report as well as other labels such as Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz, Semantica, PoleGroup, BPitch and Mistress Recordings, among others.
