A true techno legend, he’s one of the longest serving artists of our scene with a diverse and prolific release catalogue.

After debuting on OFF with a remix in 2018, he’s back with his first EP.

„The Needs Of The Many“ kicks the release off, with an energetic groove and alternating phases of stripped back toolishness and a spacy pad.

Italy’s Diego Amura steps up as a remixer, creating a raw groove monster topped by an infectious synth hook on the basis of the EP’s title track.

„Inca Moves“ offers a raw and oldschoolish groove topped by in-your-face synth licks. A killer tool.

„Brace Yourself“ finishes the EP with a toolish groove ceomplemented by hypnotic chords, and some oldschool-ish vocal chants.

On the the a-side he ups the intensity once again with pure squealing machine funk in the form of ‘Modular Framework’ & ‘Displacer’.

The flip contains 2 menacing remixes of ‘Displacer’ by Sleeparchive, an inspiration to both Ctrls & Token. We never hoped for a match this perfect.

Dutch veteran producer 2000 and One heads up the latest EP from Andre Crom‘s ever-growing OFF Recordings label in Berlin. His skills spread far and wide in the techno sphere, whether it’s releasing on his numerous records labels, or contributing to some of the biggest imprints out there, such as Cocoon, Drumcode and Figure.

Also featuring on the four track EP is the tipped talents of Italian Diego Amura, who lists labels such as Pfirter’s MindTrip, Luca Agnelli’s Etruria Beat, ARTS, and Planet Rhythm in his back catalogue.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the second track titled “Inca Moves” that gets down to business with a thumping tom drum and futuristic drones filling the airwaves. Edgy and precise, it’s an energetic jam with a raw analogue soul and an engaging mechanical sound we love to hear.

Berlin-based Irish artist Hybrasil delivers a high-grade debut album on Radio Slave’s Rekids. Since moving to Berlin Hybrasil has been an avid buyer of records at Hardwax, going to modular workshops at the cult Schneidersladen, attending Superbooth and Berlin Atonal, Panorama Bar and Berghain, whilst releasing his big, arresting techno sounds on his own eponymous label. Alongside this he’s been spending time in the studio with Radio Slave, who played Hybrasil's ‘Hathor’ in Panorama Bar which kicked off a three-month burst of creativity that led to this album. As such, the album is very much a product of the artist's time in Berlin and was written for the Panorama Bar and Berghain sound system and all who attend its dance halls.

The album takes off with the smooth rolling techno of'Hathor'; that gets you on your toes, while 'Come Back'; soon ups the ante thanks to the way Hybrasil twists and turns his synths above the rooted kick drums. 'Ceres'; then has edgy sustained chords and thunderous claps that will sound mega in a cavernous warehouse space.

'Orpeheus'; is a masterclass in economical but effective techno, with well-crafted hi hats, rolling kicks and vocal stabs all driving it forward. 'Ursa Minor'; traps the listener in unresolved loops that keep a locked groove, until 'Messier'; mixes up seriously weighty bass-drum thuds and Jeff Mills style melodic minimalism. The compelling LP completes with 'Igigi'; and 'Vela', two more astral techno rollers with celestial synths and devastating drum programming.

Hybrasil - Ursa Minor

Kmyle is a young artist that shaped his own space in the Techno scene in these last 5 years. His sound is a beautiful craft of all the technical aspects that make a Big Room track relevant, he has no fear in showing emotions but at the same time locking key elements essential for the dancefloor. Kmyle presents himself on the label with a hard explosion, but yet with an elegant touch.

The track has now been remastered and is available again on a limited marbled vinyl. It will also be available digitally for the very first time.
Syntax created the perfect moody companion for the b-side.
