ALT RECORDS head honcho, Matt Altman returns with another four-track EP. This brooding, cerebral, and heavily percussive EP explores complex polyrhythms as well as rhythmic nuances inspired by the highly acclaimed series: Attack On Titan. 

The EP kicks off with “On That Day”, an introspective, mysterious, and dark ambient track. “On That Day” is followed by 3 unique dance floor-oriented tracks, with walls of sub-bass, erratic changing synth lines, and intense percussion. 
 
Based in NYC, Matt Altman is a young producer/DJ specializing in the percussive and cerebral sounds of techno. Drawing from his drum-driven background, and time at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has had releases on prestigious labels such as trau-ma in Portugal, Business Class Records in Colombia, among others. Matt has played at some of NYC’s most renowned clubs such as Bossa Nova Civic Club, Cielo, and Output, playing for parties such as Techno Cabin, EXILE, Cipher, and Push The Night since moving to Brooklyn in 2016. With the launch of his label ALT Records and becoming a resident of the new and enticing SYITS crew, 2020 is shaping up to be his biggest year yet.

Elli Acula’s meteoric ascent is unstoppable, just like her power behind the decks to fuse groovy, powerful sounds ranging from Techno, Rave, Breakbeat, Electro and Jungle. In 2022 her electric energy has already thrilled dancers at Europe’s top venues like Berghain, Printworks, Glastonbury Festival, Pollerwiesen or Fabric London - on whose new record label Fabric Originals her next release will be coming up this year - as well as dance floors in South America, Korea and Australia. However, playing late night/early morning extended vinyl sets at Berlin haunts like OHM or ://aboutblank was where she cut her teeth. 

Having been a founding member of the label Spandau20 and being one of its creative directors, it was her first release on the label that set her up for what came next. “To The Peak”, the record she made with FJAAK & Ostgut Ton’s Steffi, hits just as hard as one of Elli Acula’s lauded DJ sets and was immediately picked up and supported by Techno & Electro’s greatest.

Excited to share with you my very first set of 2024, recorded live at Ratherlost party at LoFi, Amsterdam on January 1st, 2024. 
It was truly one of the best NY shows I've ever been a part of. The club was completely packed and on fire as I took over the decks following Quelza & Nørbak’s incredible B2B set. My aim was to keep this massive momentum going while leading the floor on a journey to get lost in the music. Hope you can feel this mood and energy from the recording.
