Idea 26 acoustic version for my Cancer album.

This is a concept for my "Cancer" album. I've matched it with lyrics for a song to be entitled "Fighting".

Fighting (concept)

I started playing guitar at the age of 40 in 2000. I got diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and lost interest in playing. Partly due to neuropathy in my fingertips from chemo and partly because I got bored playing other peoples music and couldn't concentrte. I sold most of my gear.

I've recently acquired some gear but this time I am going to write my own music which is MUCH more interesting and fun. I have some basic recording equipment. My goal is to put my cancer experience to music. People who have read my blog have told me that I write well and I should write a book. I don't know anything about writing books but I do know a little about music theory so instead of a book I'm writing music.

My music is not going to be sugar coated. The media tends to sugar coat cancer stories and leave out the painful parts. So do the treatment centers that want your business. My music will be real. If you've had cancer you will listen to my music and say "Yes that's what it's like!". If you've never had cancer you will know what it's like after hearing my music.
