Aporia is an ongoing Internet collab project based around the piano/bass duo 'Kirby/Ward'. Occasionally we capture something at rehearsal that we send to dummer Dane Renshaw (Japan) and guitarist Bruce Musser (U.S.A) to add their respective talents too. Its usually pretty spacious and dreamy : ) For this track we added the talents of Dylan Banks playing the Intonarumori as it seemed the least likely instrument ( and therefore most fun)  to suit this pseudo jazz jam extraction. As always Aporia may or may not record more music

Lyrics: 
Wanting, Desire, and Drift
A drive that wears a thousand faces, hiding in a glance, a night, a glass.
Always searching, always on the edge, like a hand grasping without ever holding.
The skin absorbs. The body swallows. But never digests.
It is no longer a choice. It is a mechanism. Something moves beneath the skin, a shiver becoming structure, a memory turning to flesh.
We build walls around the unseen, we shape rules to mask instinct. And yet, the gears are already turning.
A form in the blind spot. A sentence spoken before being thought. An unfamiliar taste on the tongue, as if someone had decided before us.
Because thirst never disappears— it transforms. Into other gestures. Into other skins. Into other excesses.
We think we choose. We think we refuse. But it’s already done.

The Skin

A longer, less minimal mix of “C02” (nothing to do with climate btw) compared to original version soon to be released on most streaming services (check buy link). 

This mix has 3 lfo’s controlling the japanese vox sample I used (Octatrack) and 2 Moog Mavis S&H signals connected to bit flip inputs 1 &2 of the Moog Labyrinth. Only used 5 synthesizers here: Labyrinth, Micro modular, ER-1, DRM-1 & Cycles
