This offering by Berlin-based, world-influenced label Disco Halal presents three tracks that 
result from the collaboration between the Brazilian DJs and producers Selvagem and Carrot 
Green (who combine releases on BIS Inc, Universal Cave, Hello Sailor, Barefoot Beats, 
Brazilian Shakedown and Magic Movement). Exploring local melodies from the 60’s and 70’s, 
they built tracks that turn those sounds in some sort of exotic techno beasts, only with that 
tropical flavor. This black magic-blessed EP opens up with Ossain’s killer strings, psyched-out 
vocals and percussive breakdowns, followed by Dengo, a slow burner based on a candomble 
chant that, along with the flute, cowbell, and clapping, puts the audience into a spell.The B-side 
brings Vandre, a throbbing 126-bpm track carried by a lovely guitar and singalong vocals by one 
of Brazil’s most iconic protest singer. The package is complete with the remix by the ever 
growing italian duo Marvin & Guy, who kept the hypnotic aura with their lush minimal sounds. A 
crossover release hard to pin down, but all around.

bRUNA and Wooky are two key figures in Spanish electronic music. Regulars in the line-ups of festivals such as Mutek, Primavera Sound and Sónar, where they have performed on many occasions, both have a solid recording career behind them, which has led to them becoming part of the Red Bull Music Academy and topping the best of the year lists (bRUNA’s two LP's were named "Album of the Year" in Spain in 2009 and 2013).

Both are also co-directors of Lapsus, a multidisciplinary project founded in 2004 that has established three lines of activity: Lapsus Radio, their famous program on National Radio of Spain; Lapsus Festival, the avant-garde electronic music festival held annually at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona; and Lapsus Records, for which they have already published distinguished artists such as Pye Corner Audio, Dalhous, Plaid, Etch, Kettel and Ametsub.

So it is of no surprise that the union of both creative talents would result in a split recording sooner or later. "Archives" is their first adventure together and also their personal vision of ambient music and its different branches. A further twist in the career of two unique artists.

Lapsus is also proud to announce that bRUNA and Wooky will be premiering "Archives" at Sónar Festival 2016 on June 18th along with the incomparable Alba G. Corral, who will be in charge of visual support to this really special occasion. 

The beautiful photographs that make up the artwork on the album are by Albert Miralles, Cristina Salinas and Alfons Pich, and the design was created by the studio Basora.

Call them Tryck & Ton, call them Tiedye, call them Swedish cosmic conjurors, call them unashamed groove connoisseurs.
Call them Anton Klint & Edvin E: two long time friends who’ve been crafting sounds and spirits together for more years than they care to admit. So long in fact, this release is the result of a session they can’t even remember having. A session that was almost lost when Edwin’s ex threatened to throw out an old hard drive of his.

And so we have ‘Kaarusha’. Fittingly hazy for a Tiedye jam neither of them can recall, it’s a heady fusion of swampy 60s psych rock, cosmic funk and sudden splashes into something pure and uplifting, it’s a wild cadence of ideas and feelings that’s been incubating and maturing in digital ex partner’s attic stasis for over a decade.
It’s galvanised by three different remix translations: Anton adds a mystic chug to the affair, switching uplift for grit that tastes all the better after 3am. Edvin counters this with a stunning Balearic affair that sucks you right into an ambient hole before shooting you beyond the ozone of a rocket of euphoria. Finally we have the General Purpose mix that takes the full musicality and spirit of the original but gives it just that little extra percussive impact for the dancefloor. Call it cosmic, call it disco, call it unclassifiable dancefloor bliss, this covers every sonic shape, style and size Anton and Edvin have ever stood for. Bliss in all directions.
