The air was thick with smoke, it filled his every breath as he ran through the burning woodland. With each step he took he grew more tired and became further overcome with emotion and a sense of loss. This was Mech's pain, something which only he could carry as he looked back upon a place that he had once called home. There was little left for it now but for smouldering ruins and a burnt out life. The machines had finally won, swallowed it all up and left a flaming deluge in their wake. 

Mathis Ruffing is set to release a new EP on Berlin based label strictly strictly, a forward thinking outlet which draws upon abstract experimentation and design of the future. Forward thinking and fast paced, the release is as rough and rugged as they come.

R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere returns with the first expanded compilation in his personal RV Trax series showcasing the hypnotic sounds he plays on the dancefloor. 

In this fifth instalment Vandepapeliere has chosen 9 groove laden tracks from an array of talented electronic artists representing Belgium, England, Argentina, Northern Ireland, Italy, France and Germany. 

A frustrated drummer at heart, every one of the tracks on RV Trax Vol 5 (and previous volumes) has the shared DNA of heavy percussive workouts - keeping the focus of the music on the drums. 

Vandepapeliere has always gravitated towards the primal, protean response that music can create - in his new chapter as a DJ he has refined his formula which is captured perfectly in the tracks selected for this compilation - liquid, serpentine grooves collide with deep atmospherics and pounding percussion with a total absence of wailing divas, experimental IDM flourishes or raucous EDM drops 

Defiantly going against the grain of social media likes or play counts, RV Trax locks the dancers into an inescapable groove.

Masa begins his series together with Korean designer Song Hojong with the aim of promoting the arts as a valuable cultural transmitter. To this end, MASA 001 brings together a soigné selection of sound and design to create a colourful expression of sparkling liveliness.

Within MASA 001, the connection between emerging producers like 'Natural Language' and the members of 'EgoTrip' collective 'Texture' give birth to 'Blitzar', a track full of good vibes and emotional braindance. For his part, Manel Ruiz '6tmä' brings back the characteristic and charismatic English Acid House from the 90s with 'Robert De Lirio'. Furthermore, local duo 'Tony & Hawk' portrays with 'Who Lands Drones', their cheeky spirit through an imposing techno rave bangerz. Last but not least, magician 'Roger Van Lunteren' joins Masa family with a 20-year-old track that seems not to lose heart and power over time as it is the case of 'Red (Touchée)'.
